Interesting. I feel if this was done in the 80s to early 00s 85% of Americans and most Democrats would've supported it.

LMAO we got unilateral military unit action boys, this can get spicy in a fucking hurry, this is why you USUALLY dont competently decapitate the command structure as there is no one to negotiate with.
Khamenei was never interested in negotiating. He's gone on record basically saying negotiating with the west/infidels is a tactic to buy time. Pezeshkian is still alive, though. Make of that what you will.

All of the regime's IRIB propaganda channels have reportedly gone dark after Israel targeted their headquarters.

🚨 Breaking Iran. Sun Mar 1, 2026

This is amazing! Israel/U.S has hit Seda-o-Sima, the Islamic republics state propaganda network.

You can hear the people cheer right away.

Iranian man can be heard shouting "HURRAAAAAH"

Russian oil is sanctioned to hell and paying them directly fucks Chinese banks with American sanctions
India has been buying oil directly from Russia and I don't see any sanctions going on currently. Trump said they won't do that anymore as of a month or so ago but I dont think it's happening yet.
Also not a BRICS simp, but if the Persian Gulf becomes no-go for oil and gas, the only ways for more to get in Europe is either from the US (either directly or via Venezuela) or via Russia.

The biggest winner is probably Russia, to be honest.

Yes and no, it would probably be used to drive support against a non-democratic regime and create opposition that would otherwise not be there. Not to mention that people would more or less know that they're being ruled by the US, which a lot of people in Iran have a kneejerk reaction against, probably. A democracy where they (at least think they) have control would be ideal.
I did say interim. Also as I noted, I dont think there's a burning desire for a kingdom in more than possibly symbolic ways. Pahlavi knows this, and he's already stated support for a Westernstyle democracy.

Now, of course he'd be a fool not to - few countries/ peoples would choose a traditional monarchy today, so to arrogate to himself a royal ruler role/ intention would just give people something to fight about. And more cynically, would screw him over personally to alienate the US and the Iranian people - unless he goes power-mad, his best personal path forward is steady steering in a transitional time, letting more qualified people do the lifting, set up infrastructure with a helpful and interested wealthy nation's full support, then hand it off to the people, take a courtesy role, and spend 9 months of the year in Switzerland or wherever he wants to be, coming back now and then for events where it is useful for him to be seen.

Good thing the previous admin let so many docotors into the country. This is gonna be a real shitshow in the coming weeks isn't it?
Dude had a shirt that said "property of allah" with iranian flag bullshit on it

By the way, the Iranian ministry of communication or whatever the fuck it's called was blown up. So let's see how many Twitter accounts suddenly go offline.

Different overhead passes on strikes targeting ships and support facilities at an Iranian naval base in Konarak Iran.
I expect the majority of the IRGC fleet to be okay. Don't misunderstand Iran won't have a usable navy, all their large frigates and ships are getting blown up, but the IRGC has a huge fleet of go-fast boats intended for swarm attacks. These boats range from the size of a small center console to large yachts. They range from 30-100 ft of multiple sizes and can easily be transported by semi truck and trailer. All of them have guns and some form of a guided missile on them but the point is they are supposed to be small maneuverable targets. I expect these to be relatively unharmed, not that they could do any real damage anyway.

Its more like a modified Coast Guard attack fleet for patrolling the Persian Gulf. I like to think of them as marine technicals.

US influence over the Shah was exactly why the revolution happened dumbfuck.
Oh sure, it had absolutely nothing to do with Iranian communist revolutionaries already gunning for the Shah. Its not like this penomonenon had never occurred anywhere else in the world and was not occurring anywhere else at this time.

The US supported the Shah in an attempt to curb communism. The revolution was why he was even supported by America. The commies getting religion of peaced is the only thing relatively unique about the revolution.

Ironic you calling someone else a dumbfuck.

Would it happen to be all those Arab sock accounts that make the bold claim that Muslims are the perfect ally Christian’s and westerners need?
