US doesn't even have any meaningful land assets in the middle east at the moment and it's been summarized long ago that a land invasion of iran would be impossible due to extreme projected causalties, logistics and cost of the whole endeavor.

Not only that but China's friends as well. I am pretty sure Iran is one of China's main supplier of oil and gas (next to Russia). And they can't do much beside just watch and issue formal protests. Though maybe Trump told them beforehand and also guaranteed that they would still get the oil they need in return for no interference
