I never understood these so-called tattoos.
If you're just going to murder them all why bother cataloguing them?

Blame shrinkflation, I agree 200g is insane
It doesnt seem to hit basic products as hard. Bags of flour, butter or minced meat retained their weight, they just got more expensive. It's mostly cookies and condiments and the like where they shrink it down. At least that's my experience. People will notice more quickly a brick of butter isn't the agreed 250g.

TT (technically NSFW I guess):

It is a HELL to convert majority of True and Honest American recipes because you can end up with like 227g of butter if the recipe calls for 1 cup.
Imagine weighing your butter on scales like a peasant bargaining with his lord for his wages.
Gotta agree with @Neodanthril here. The real L is recipes using weight instead of volume for butter. But thank you @PetiteFeet for asking a fairly innocent question that turned into such a hilarious tangent for the past five pages. My sides are in orbit with some of these replies! 😁

Butter Thread tax... now with cats!

200? What heresy is that. 250g is what civilized people use. And dont bother to try and help Americans. It's like sending aid to Africa, or throwing pearls to swine. Just look at the UK, we tried to help them for decades, but as soon as they left with brexit, they removed all metric measurements. I think they spent all their mental energy decimalizing their currency (yes, they actually had an equally retarded system for their money. 4 farthing made a penny, 12 pennies made a shilling, 20 shillings made a pound)
