Oh great. Catbox was the alternative I used to get around the file size limit with groomcord and Imgur geoblocking the UK (I use tor regularly so I don't really use a VPN). Now I learn it's backing up the degenerates too.

Considering there is a small anime child on every corner in each page of catbox and this coming out of the blue when the ATF admins were infighting. I don't know if I believe that it's a smear campaign. There isn't that many that know ATF to begin with except other loli/shotacon freaks and I don't see why they would make an announcement like that when Catbox can outright confirm that he does not intend to host their website/booru. (And it's not like we can't find out anyways in the future)

I'm not one to tell others what to do or say, but I'd rather give him the benefit of the doubt rather than rush to call him a pedophile or something like that, at least until something official materializes. I'm just wondering why the ATF admins would smear catbox if that's their objective. I don't see what they get out of it to begin with unless there is drama that I or we are unaware behind the scenes regarding those two.

I'm sure whatever answer there is is probably hidden in the announcement post, so unless someone with an account goes there and takes some screenshots, all we can really do is speculate.

However, it's a pretty bad look; if I were the owner of Catbox and this were false, I would have addressed it already. This is at least 3 days old at this point.

You underestimate the potential capability that the worst of humanity can produce. What especially pisses me off is all the whining from them about how this hurts privacy and free speech on the internet.
