it's not because he was demanding the files, it was because he was constantly saying that trump was totally in them and that's why he wouldn't release it. he also lied constantly about it, including using the idea that he had a list of names for campaign points, and then simply never producing that list or using his immunity to prosecution for slander on the floor to read it. he has consistently backpedaled, and was responsible for ALL of the redactions that he then went on to bitch and moan about. now his co-sponsor is bringing a fucking child trafficker who pretended to be a victim to the state of the union, and you're running defense for him in the thread.

Building pressure to get the Epstein files released was objectively a good thing. I'm sure Massie did not do it purely out of the kindness out of his own heart, he is a politician. At the same time I'm disappointed Trump tried so hard to keep the files hidden and this rift in the Republican party is being fanned by Democrats because it's such an obviously dickheaded thing to do. Defending Trump on this is something I don't get.
