There is legitimately nothing we can do to fix this. The only course of action is to let it happen.Been caught in a bit of a doomer style spiral lately, though not near as bad as the types who come and routinely post in this thread pissing and crying.
We have trouble predicting what America after Trump looks like, whether its a party that comes to reflect his influence on American politics, or the "Trump bad" wing of things. But I'm finding it increasingly hard to feel optimistic with short term wins when there is this horrible mold developing under this proverbial carpet. Kids are finding it harder and harder to read with each generation. Tech has been dumbed down to the point where each generation is no longer reliably better at tech than the previous one. You see zoomers in the job market who refuse to do things like problem solve, or even look out for a company they work for. We haven't been a high trust society in a long time, but this is eating away at whatever we had left of it.
Younger people will likely trend towards commie or at least a nanny state if they are brought up stupid and unable to care for themselves or their futures. Pair this with tech and there was already a growing problem where we just, as a society, have forgotten skills and lessons the past generations knew or had to learn the hard way. Add AI, and the rot is just accelerating. People aren't writing their own texts anymore. People aren't reading anymore. People are so social media and phone brainrotted that TV shows on Netflix have to purposefully dumb themselves down or they will get bad reviews because people can't follow the plot. You could even be an anti-AI sperg and say people no longer want to even try creative skills or imagine things because AI can do it for them. (This could be said way more of social stuff like AI relationships tbh)
I wanna be optimistic, but man I don't know how we will make it out of this strange mess. It bigger than sides-cucked politics, and as much as getting rid of poojeets is desperately needed, there is just a festering rot we can't simply deport back to some shithole. We are developing generational issues that I'd say is scarier than simple birthrates or a skin pigment chart.
