MEXICO CITY — The Mexican army killed the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, Nemesio Rubén Oseguera Cervantes, “El Mencho,” in an operation Sunday, a federal official said.
The official, who requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly, said it happened during a military operation in the western state of Jalisco.


It followed several hours of roadblocks with burning vehicles in Jalisco and other states. Such tactics are commonly used by the cartels to block military operations.

The U.S. State Department had offered a reward of up to $15 million for information leading to the arrest of El Mencho.
In February, the Trump administration designated the cartel as a foreign terrorist organization.

After Trump designated the cartels as terrorist organizations I don't remember if it was a green text or someone on Rogan or something like that who said that our military, special forces in particular, are absolutely chomping at the bit for action after the Afghanistan pullout debacle. If some sort of wet back insurgency were to happen because of this, well Dick Cheney and Colin Powell are both fucking dead so I have a sneaking suspicion that the "you break it you own it" mentality is gonna be quite different from the forever war in the middle east.

Fake and gay. CJNG basically did the same thing as the Guadalajara cartel did back in the 70s and 80s, meaning they were an alliance of plaza bosses who all were unified under one leader. With CJNG, this was Mencho. He was sickly, from what I understand, but it was still Mencho who was running things. He had wanted his son to take his place but he's currently serving a life sentence in the US while his wife left hima nd his daughter is pretty young.

If the cartels try to fuck around with America, America is going to fuck them back. Cartels can't even beat the Mexican army head on. It if isn't fake, it's going to be all bluster. More than likely what's going to happen is that the CJNG splinters into smaller cartels and begin killing each other over who gets the plazas.

Would be an explanation. The US coming in and killing them would only be a benefit for Mexico. Protecting the cartels does suggest that they are in league. Or it could be pride.

One of my biggest redpills that pulled me out of being a retarded lefty 10 years back was noticing how selectively this logic was applied.

I believed it, I tried to be logically consistent with it, but I noooooticed that everytime I held the behavior of blacks, chinks, muslims, or people "fighting nazism" to the same standard, suddenly it was inappropriate. "If we punch nazis we prove them right, we give them recruitment ammo, we don't disincentive it", suddenly that same logic didn't apply. Any way of thinking is great when it fucks over white people, that same way of thinking is bad when it helps white people, end of story.

The cartels are evil and killing evil people is a good thing. 2nd and 3rd order effects don't fucking matter if they're no worse than the first order effect. Kill the evil fucks. If somebody evil replaces them, kill that fucker too, and kill the next one, and the next one, and kill anybody who defends his ass. Eventually they will either run out of evil fucks or the potential replacements will realize that doing what he does isn't worth it.

It's stunning how many horrible things we've let thrive in the world because we refuse to acknowledge this basic concept.

No I’m not kidding. She actually asked the Prime Minister of South Korea for more dates, thinking SK was NK and that BTS were state-slaves who do whatever their bosses tell them to, and not slaves to a private entity that will not shell out billions in losses over rebooking stadiums and arenas.
