You're both right and wrong. I love sighthounds in general, but I've truly lost my heart to the borzoi and by extension the silken windhound (which looks basically like a much smaller borzoi, even though they're not a sub-breed of 'zoi).
They're majestic in person. Massive dogs that tower over even the largest of Great Danes. Their gait is beautiful, like looking at a horse trotting around but it's a dog.
But they also look like eldritch creatures 50% of the time. They're so skinny and TALL. Throw a white sheet over a 'zoi and you have Vicar Amelia from Bloodborne.
Fun fact about borzois, it takes around 5 years for their snouts to fully grow. They look like your bog standard dog as puppies and slowly begin to mutate into their final form after many sacrifices to the dark borzoi gods.
