This is even funnier in hindsight with what we know now about Chibi's inability to stick his dick in Googly's cooch and instead had to get off by wearing her underwear instead.

I remember him from times before the GDQ moment when I was a young teenager in the early 2010s, he was just as bad back then but everyone in that community (Kingdom Hearts Roleplayers) were equally autistic and full of sexual degeneracy so nothing he did back then really stuck out other than joining Chatzy servers to roleplay with 12 and 13 year olds, I'm wondering how much people in this thread know about his Facebook page rp days.Shame that KF only picked up on him after the "big guy" catfish incident in 2020/21
His peak years were 2014-18, when he kept insisting to his mother that his streaming career was going to blow up any day now™. I mean, he streams every day these days as well, but the streams are low-energy and boring. Nothing like what he was doing a decade ago.
On the other hand, you can learn a lot about what not to do by observing his various life choices. And of course this is the LAST person you should go to for advice on anything.
Probably doesn't leave his home any more except to get more instant noodles at the nearest convenience store. He's so greasy I doubt he's had a proper wash since he got back to Japan. Why did he thought it would be good idea to grow his beard out (and in an unkempt way, of course) in Japan of all places?
8 minutes of Chibi giving advice on staying safe from catfishing

He looks, talks, and acts like the retarded stillborn gay meth-baby nephew of a PNW cryptid.
Enjoy sitting around for the remaining 6 months of your visa, Chibi!
I think he hasn't used his twitter because one of his tranny jannies stalks this thread and told him about it being archived daily. Plus, he really has no reason to tweet, he doesn't go out and cosplay anymore. He obsessed over moving to Japan for years just to end up doing the same shit he did in the U.S. lol. I'd be more forgiving of Chibi if he kept IRL streaming and being entertaining instead of boring ass vidya streams.Wasn't he supposed to be going to another themed Cafe and the Nintendo museum with his brother this month and last?
He hasn't updated his Japanese Twitter since December or replied to anyone with it since January 4th.
Dropping the "caveman trooned out" meme aside just for this moment to say, Chibi talks about that event like it ruined Caveman's life but he's doing really well as far as I know. There was that recent clip of him at GDQ where he very much upped his public speaking game. Unlike Chibi, I have no reason to believe Caveman's even bothered about that Tomba 2 incident. He has yet to capitalise on it, though. He should let's play that remaster and theme it around that video. A weird "umm ackshully" on my part but Chibi is really trying to overblow the effect that video had on Caveman just to make it seem like they're both victims of the same feather lol1771322282500.mp4
"In retrospect I do still feel really bad for like what ended up happening to caveman because it was pretty similar to what happened to me.."
"I can definitely help with this"

I'd really prefer it if you'd use my pronouns.Speaking of new topics of discussion, did you guys know Caveman trooned out?
For all the talk of the job being a scam, it isn't. Or at least not in the traditional sense, its supposed to be a scam everyone's in on.He totally got fired and or just had all his hours cut for just dipping out and going on vacation back home. Most jobs will terminate you for that. He quit the one job that wouldn’t.
That is for older buildings or ones out in the boonies. Anything after 2010 and probably after 2000 int he major urban areas is going to have central heat/cooling.Yes. It's either a space heater or one of those wall mounted units that does both heating and cooling.
But then Tokyo barely gets below freezing anyway. A good sweater and thick socks and you can tough out the winter. The same unit cools the room in the summer which makes it bearable. The moment you step outside though? Pure hell.
The game has changed, this pathway is much harder now and I'd argue impossible for Cheebs. A lot of thsoe sort of support jobs have moved remote. The pay scale isn't as good anymore. If chibi played his cards right, he could be working in Japan and having fun.
If he got an actual I.T. degree and also got a CCNP R&S, he could have worked with a company that would have sent him to Okinawa Japan, working on an American military base doing networking work. He would be paid in USD and have the typical American work schedule instead of the death work cult of Japan. He would be able to take cheap flights to Tokyo and other places in Japan and have mini vacations every weekend. Do the weird silly cosplaying shit and buying are the food he can.
I know this because I had coworkers in a NOC do this path and made 120k USD a year pre covid. They were able to import JDM cars and generally had a great time with their apartment being covered. Seriously a dream gig if you like Japan and are a single bachelor.
Yet, he played his cards terribly, fumbling a golden goose ATT sales job with his made up Full Sail degree which allowed him annual trips to Japan,
He'd still be friendless on any side of the ocean, he'd just be aware of what a fuckup he is.I was studying and came upon the whole "3 faces" that the Japanese culture adhere to:
建前(Tatemae) first face, the public one.
ほんね(Honne) second face, the one you show to those close to you.
自分だけの顔(this i had to copy paste cause i didnt know how to properly type it)(True Self) the real you.
I dont think he is aware of this cultural thing in japan which explains why all the people he meets and try to befriend ghosts him. If he understood this + basic social awarenes he wouldnt be a friendless fuck.
I have thought about this for a bit and all I can think of is Dunning-Kruger? Especially with his reaction to getting his diploma on stage despite having his discord kittens do everything for him, it makes me think that he just ignorantly assumes he's an awesome influencer.Do you think he knows how bad his Japanese is, or is he fully aware he's half-assing it like everything else and just doesn't care?
Eh, I always find this aspect to be overblown because Western countries have this exact same concept too, it's not that special. What I DO think is genuinely challenging is the idea of keeping the peace (和) if I were to sum it up it would be the Japaneses' ability to make every professional interaction as scripted as possible combined with this idea that you must avoid direct conflict at all costs, no matter what deceitful and underhanded technique is required to do so. So to keep it relevant to Chibi imagine that he wants something from someone, a friendship, gf, working hours, etc. The Japanese way of interaction basically funnels people into saying "Yeah sure, absolutely" and then immediately ghosting or ignoring him. It can get more insidious like leaving secret messages (or posting publicly shaming notices in disguise) to tell someone to stop doing something. But Chibi's Nippon level is not high enough to experience such advanced techniques. Honestly I am not too well versed in it myself but it's subtle and everywhere and a little different than just refraining from saying the truth.I was studying and came upon the whole "3 faces" that the Japanese culture adhere to:

ほんね(Honne) second face, the one you show to those close to you.

You should elaborate on this because it sounds like really deep-cut information that I don’t think anyone here hasI remember him from times before the GDQ moment when I was a young teenager in the early 2010s, he was just as bad back then but everyone in that community (Kingdom Hearts Roleplayers) were equally autistic and full of sexual degeneracy so nothing he did back then really stuck out other than joining Chatzy servers to roleplay with 12 and 13 year olds, I'm wondering how much people in this thread know about his Facebook page rp days.
I don’t. That certainly lines up with him offering life advice (Nipponese available) despite barrelling towards 40 with absolutely all his best laid plans lying in utter ruins.it makes me think that he just ignorantly assumes he's an awesome influencer.

If we're talking homes then yes. Homes built in Tokyo or just outside would have heated floors for the winter as being an option. Dunno about cooling but I would assume they have some kind of system for that but there's one thing that Japan likes to do is stay with what works. It's why buildings built in the 80's lack any real kind of insulation so even at home if you don't have some kind of baseboard heater or wall unit it can get a little cold. Most office buildings have the heating / cooling going on.That is for older buildings or ones out in the boonies. Anything after 2010 and probably after 2000 int he major urban areas is going to have central heat/cooling.
He was so fucking stupid not to take that one. It was something like half an hour away from Osaka and about the same distance to Nara and that is one beautiful area. But no. He needed Tokyo for... reasons.Cheebs was offered a posting in Kansai where he'd have been able to get some social action going just by being the Token Foreigner.
You're right. unless its a heat pump they likely won't have central cooling; new homes still do the per-room AC thing, but the hot-air vents are now part of the construction plan instead of an after thought. Central heating is now a thing. If we're talking homes then yes. Homes built in Tokyo or just outside would have heated floors for the winter as being an option. As for apartments? As far as I know that's still done room by room. And a lot of newer places have a bathroom heater which you turn on to dry your clothes. But central still isn't a thing in most buildings.
It all comes down to cost. You can have it installed but it's going to cost a LOT.
And as discussed could have lived streamed "Walking on trails? More like Walking on trails, JAPAN" and probably do 3-digit views with lots of superchats. He was so fucking stupid not to take that one.
