I think you can brute force Madarame to an extent, but yeah, Okumura in Royal requires you to play completely by his rules or get fucked.

No big loss either way, his P5 playthrough was pretty boring. Now if someone could force him to play through the entirety of Nocturne...

Though really it’d be his most boring SMT playthrough ever, since he’d need chat to hold his hand for every encounter, and the “solutions” to the hardest battles are fairly specific and for the most part foolproof. It’d just be him looking at chat between every button press. And I want Phil’s take on the molding of cosmology by morality and vice versa about as much as anything else he’s said in his entire life

I know we're treading autistic waters here, but this is one of those typical DSP-style situations where whatever the real truth is, it will be an L for DSP either way:

Outcome A: he truly said "denim" in the original song, but suddenly denies the existence of the "denim" line and doubles down on it in his own toxic way. That's an L.
Outcome B: it turns out he didn't say "denim" in the original song and it actually was "here comes the nana" all along. Though, he has been structurally singing "it comes in denim" throughout the years himself, therefore 100% agreeing with the general opinion that it was "denim", and then suddenly changing his opinion while calling everyone mentally ill who thought it was "denim" (like he did himself). That's an L.

You can't spell DarksydePhil without an L.

This may be one of the best examples of pignosis I have ever seen. It's a fucking song about a banana, not some criminal allegations at a trial. Both the fact that detractors put this much effort into disputing his denial of the banana song lyrics and the fact that Phil even bothers denying his banana song lyrics in the first place is unbelievably funny. It is also, indeed, unbelievably autistic.

Personally I think he just misspoke or was drunk but guess what? It doesn't matter! It's a meme because it's a funny song about a banana that's kinda gay! And Phil is kinda gay! That's why him taking it so seriously and not understanding cracks me up, it's like he's incapable of fun or laughing (unless it's at the expense of others).

I love how easily phil will try and bend the truth when after all these years he's been such a probable liar that people have a search engine to fact check him and he still decides to lie.

Also he's really ramped up the use of retard as an insult. Now I'm not gonna pearl clutch about it as I think calling people/ things retarded is fine but what's made him so brave as he used to fear using "no no" words for the longest time

It's also an example of classic DSP snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. It's one little thing that if he leaned into, would give him the slightest shred of likeability. But no, he has to gaslight, pignotize, quibble and um ackshually us to death over what we see with our own eyes and ears. There can be no small, charming or ingratiating aspect of Phil because he'll inevitably punish you for softening on him.
 
Whenever he gives his hot gaming industry takes I am amazed all over again he truly thinks he's some under-respected gaming guru who, if people would only listen to him, could be an invaluable voice in "the space."
