God, I hate cafe racers.

My hate mostly stems from people taking classic bikes and chopping them up until they're retardedly worthless. Like retards do with classic cars. And seemingly like that blue bike in the background.




On a side note I also have a triumph, but not a cafe racer. Cuz I'm not that gay.

The blue bike in the background is a Suzuki GS500 which was Fat's first bike, it's been rotting behind the hovel for like 12-13 years now.
Do you think Pat has the tools or fab skills required to make anything ? This is a guy who installed his fence backwards.

Talking about people butchering bikes to make cafe racers reminded me of this anecdote;

I used to frequent the Kicker 5150 (shitty chinesium kit bike) forum back in the day and there was a dude who had his grandfather's 50's chevy. Third generation owner and it was all original. He gave it the Jesse James special and chopped the roof, shaved the handles, lowered it, and painted it matte black. Needless to say he fucking ruined that family heirloom. His father and grandfather were probably spinning in their graves like jet turbines.

Even worse, it's a cafe racer variant. So he has to lean forward more than in a sport bike but not quite as far as a super sport.

While as like an actual standard, like my Street Twin, you sit straight up. Maybe *slightly* forward at most.

All bikes can be fun, I have never known someone to only have a cafe racer though, as they aren't really that comfortable to ride, It's always a second bike. I see it as the hipster fixie bicycle of the motorworld.
While I don't agree with chopping up classics ( Leave that cx500 alone there are plenty of bandits to trash). Cafe Racers, Choppers and Bobbers should be built, not rolled off a factory floor bullshit.
