Is it just me, or do people in management roles have an even lower IQ than they used to? It used to be managers were dim on average, but serviceable. But at my last few jobs I've had other utter contemptible mouth breathing inbred morons as either the top, or second in command at my work.
One of them was unlicensed for the field he was in and had numerous convictions for selling drugs, and I even reported him to HR once when I caught him doing coke in his office and then they immediately started interfering with my ability to hit deadlines.
About 4 months after I left, he ended up catching a really big charge and is now spending the rest of his natural Life in federal pound you in the ass prison.
The other one was a store manager for the most profitable store in the entire company, and he was a full-blown illiterate. I worked for the man for years and I can say for a fact: he could not read. It was such an open secret that the running joke at that job was no one gets written up while he's in town, because that would involve knowing how to write. He also sexually harassed every woman he wasn't related to, and a lot of them would either quit or transfer to a different store.
I cannot imagine being so completely useless, but still being in charge. Every time I was in leadership position at a job I always made sure to put in 100%, yet it is almost impossible for me to get a position like that in the current market because my parents were not related before they were married.
