This is an important point too. I'm old enough to remember when America's cultural view of Indians were of Apu and the guy from Short Circuit. We had basically skimmed the cream off the top of India and there were so few of them everyone thought they were better than they are. A decade ago, hating Indians was almost fringe and restricted to some parts of tech and retail/big box types who interacted with them directly. Their fall from grace has been incredibly rapid.
