Disaster Active shooter alert issued for areas in and around Tumbler Ridge, B.C. - Residents asked to shelter in place; suspect described as "woman" in a dress with brown hair

An active shooter alert has been issued for a large area in and around Tumbler Ridge in B.C.'s northeast.

The alert was issued Tuesday at 2:15 p.m. PT by RCMP, and it covers Tumbler Ridge, Chetwynd, Dawson Creek and areas surrounding them.

Police say those in the Tumbler Ridge area should stay indoors and shelter in place, and not leave their homes.

The suspect in the case has been described as a woman in a dress with brown hair.

Anyone who sees the suspect has been asked not to approach them and to call 911.

I live in cucked Bongland and I don't want a proliferation of firearms here. Gun crime is rare. Barely anyone self-pwns with a gun. Everyone knows that farmers have shotguns, which is deterrent enough to stop people fucking with homes in remote places (Tony Martin, for example). Yes we still have violence and suicides, but there's no arms race. We're an island, and it's difficult for bad guys to smuggle guns into the country. If I want to plink cans or control pests, we have air rifles for that.
