I'm not really educated on how canes works but putting paws directly at the bottom of a rubber tip is the most retarded thing I've seen in a while. They are flat to maximise surface contact with the ground and help with stability, so with this custom cane, Hitch would realistically slip and eat concrete at every step.

Aside from that, what even would be the point of this in the furry world? Would a world like this even have the appeal of toe beans/paws the same way we find them cute? Since this would be the equivalent of putting human feet on the bottom of the cane. Plus, this world has modern-day technology and advancements, so why wouldn't there just be rubber on the bottom like actual canes?

You could argue that it plays into the creepy-cute vibe Hitch supposedly has, similar to how some people wear jewelry made out of doll parts. But:
1. Autumn's rambling implies that this is across the whole world, not just Hitch-specific.
2. Hitch doesn't even read as creepy-cute in the slightest. Nothing is off-putting about her outfit, posing, or expression aside from terrible anatomy.
 
When she was still a skater, Hitch's cheese thing could be excused. But when all of her personality was stripped away except her being fat and a fucktoy for Hitomi, it does make the cheese obsession feel uncomfortable. Like another part of bimbo-ifying her.
 
Love that Hitch's character arc is literally Puppychan vs The Dang Dirty Trollz on Da Internet. Pup is 10 years too old to be self-inserting like this bruh, she even rewrote reality to be full-on wish fulfillment where Hitch has online internet friends to defend her cyberspace. Pup has literally no other life experience to draw from in order to make an effortful story for Hitch. It sounds amazing and cool for her but it's the most uninteresting plot device one could come up with except as an episode plot for a kid's TV show. Even then it's corny and lame for a "gritty and serious adult life comic".

The paws on the cane look like severed cat paws or rabbit feet to me. It's not the cute design detail she thinks it is, not to mention it would probably be a nuisance on uneven surfaces in practice.

Remember that drawing, for a very brief moment, used to be Hitomi's hobby? Now he's a skater and I guess nothing else, unless he draws, too? Pup is just cycling through like the same 3 hobbies for these two. It could be interesting if they were two different types of artists-maybe Hitch draws anime and Hitomi paints or something-but from what we've seen, both of them only seem capable of drawing self-portraits in a very similar art style to Autumn. Funny how that works

That aside, I feel like at least when most people go through their 'I'm 15 and my main character is not particularly subtle about literally being Cooler Me', they're at least... idk, cool. Even Salem has a derpsword. Poor Hitch is now just Autumn if she was a mouse, was less walleyed, was actually fat, and had friends.
They say write what you know, that doesn't mean just make the character yourself. Especially when you're the kind of person with 1500 pages of people discussing how unlikeable you are.

She could be doing so much more now that she's living on "her own", she could go to the movies, the store, the park, coffee places, etc, but no, she chooses to be a shut-in and whine about her paypig fanbase.

Unfortunately, the fact of the matter is that people are going to misgender Hitch no matter what Pup does.

it comes to a point where any creator needs to stop letting the little things build up for them, especially over something so small. Not everyone follows you (you used as a generalization), not everyone reads context clues; they’re going to draw assumptions based on what they see, and not always further research before putting something on a tumblr blog with a little compliment.

Assuming malice over your “gender nonconforming” character being /GENDER NONCONFORMING/ and thus strangers having difficulty ‘gendering’ them correctly is just retarded! And I don’t even give a fuck about genderisms! If someone wants to be one way or another, it’s neither my circus nor my monkeys, so long as they’re happy with themself! But when you get to the point where something as small as that if freaking you out, you have GOT to find a way to cope.

Unpopular opinion, but I feel like she's sorta spitting faxz. I too am tired of this made up word "cringe" being the invisible judge of what you can and cannot like. I miss bronies, I miss LARPers, I miss weird people who stopped being interesting because of some made up word. And I think a story screaming into the void about that could be nice, but it's hard to write a story when you can't even write a sentence without including the words "internalized", "normativity", "gender", "race", "trans", or "community".

Also this story falls flat when you realize this is just her throwing herself a pity parade for the umpteenth time over the drama that happened when she was a teen. The drama that was largely her own fault.

One thing I've noticed about her characters is that none of them feel real, they're all sort of like if some hobbit tried to mimic what zoomers were like. And ya that's about what it is.
 
Anyone else find it strange how much Autumn has lost interest in her drawing Salem? Her dumb rabbit was all she draw but now she barely draws it. Guess the gooner-slop comments really got to her lol
