This is just a string of problems internally with phase connect. The first one visible to the populace. Think about it. When was the last time Kirsche did any collab with Pippa?
I bet they're prevented from doing collabs with people they want to or have been for a while now. Probably the "We're a real company now" narrative.

i think its not allowed because theyre not physically able to pivot. im going to explain this to you and @Burnt Fish and the rest pushing this "you just wanted pippa and tenma to do tnd live" stuff, which iirc either you or him or both have said you havent paid much attention to pippa so youre probably not being malicious with this, most people who like some of their edgier jokes know that theyre not "based". pippa has openly said on stream that irl shes the most left wing in her groups and is confused people call her right wing online. there have been leaks of her and lumi telling a vtuber to try posting in right wing circles for views, shes openly talked about phase wrangling her in and feeling pressured to sanitize her content to not paint a target on the rest of the girls who being smaller continue the same type of humor including jelly until now.

at least 80 percent of people i estimate admittedly based on personal anecdotal experience, know that theyre not politically like minded, the most people thought based on the hogwarts thing is that in phase you can tell some jokes and not bow to random cancel mobs. people even accepted that phase is going to chase other crowds, i myself have actually said it was smarter for pippa to be less political than she is even now because she really doesnt have a need to be. the baseline expectation for phase was not tnd, it was not being a freewheeling say nigger as you please org, it was not one "based" joke per stream mandates, it was just some broad expectations of alignment on some kinds of humor that is more acceptable to corpo gatekeepers, and doing anything but tell murderous trannies cancelling their own members for no reason that theyre valid.

so in short its not that they cant chase mainstream success, its just dumb to piss on people who watched them before because ... well theyre the current fanbase and they dont like that and it cripples your capability to actually grow to be able to tell the "old " crowd to fuck themselves. so yeah i dont expect phase fans to facilitate their own replacement

It's the unreal engine stuff Universal has been messing with, I've seen that model in a few different settings even in just VRchat she's used it and it looks more "normal" there.

The motion tracking and stage setups they manage in this setup are great, face tracking needs work and I find that the "uncanny" look depends a lot on the lighting from the times she's used the engine in various things.

For a reference on the progress they've made on this, this is from a year ago when Mori was in a live with the Japanese Vsinger KAF and what she's doing today does look markedly better than this, so it's at least something they're improving upon.

It looks more uncanny up close but from a distance with the lighting & DoF it looks better
