I think a lot of it is livestreaming. When people would just make youtube videos before livestreaming was a thing they rotted away a lot less often. Even people that just make youtube videos and stream very rarely mostly don't fall apart, at least not often. Some guys like Ross Scott still mostly just make youtube videos and stream once a month for fun and stay just the same, Game Dungeon is still great after all these years. Even mean comments and thumbs downs aren't that big of a deal, the whole website is set up to just ignore them. There's very little risk of accidentally saying or doing something retarded unless you're a complete retard already because you can edit a video. They still earn money if they aren't too edgy and have a library of videos people like. There was a time when asking anyone for money in a video was reviled but times have changed.

Videos aren't where the big upfront money is though so if someone over spends or really likes being handed 20 dollars (who doesn't) than streaming is the way to go. Problem people seem to run into is that they start streaming 4 or 5 days a week, every week, with no breaks, sometimes for hours on end. During that time they're reading a chatroom that could turn sour at any moment. Say something against the approved politics? Chat spergs out. Fuck up playing a video game? Chat spergs out. Have a stroke or shit your pants? Chat spergs out. Do it enough and it gets clipped and posted here. Then Chat, who you've come to rely on for that money, stops handing you 20 dollars and you've made an ass of yourself too many times to recover. Then if you get mad about that and call Chat a nigger you get demonetized and then nobody hands you 20 dollars anymore. I can't imagine how stressful that has to be which is why they age rapidly and wither into nothing.

Hollywood types that film 16 hours and do stunts and get paid lots of money so someone handing them 20 dollars doesn't really matter, they have a job called being an actor. They have people that make sure they don't hear the things people that hate them say, and people to tell them they looked cool jumping out of that plane, and when they're done making a movie they just get paid for it every time someone watches it. Hollywood actors don't get demonetized just raped sometimes, it's in the contract. Unless they talk about Jews, but that's in the contract too.

@Styxhexenhammer666 would know about streaming and stress better than I would though, seeing how he streams and is withering.

I'm starting to think there's far more to the story than just Nikki punching Tarl and getting arrested because she seems more upset about Samantha than she is about Tarl. What did Samantha really do to her, I wonder? And as for being prohibited from speaking about Tarl that sounds a lot like a restraining order to me. How could Tarl have filed a restraining order against her so quickly, didn't the alleged punching and subsequent arrest all take place like yesterday?

I think something serious happened to Nikki and she's definitely being deliberately evasive about what exactly happened

All what you said, and also: Unless you follow celebrity gossip, we don't know actors' personalities. We might have favorite actors we've liked for years who are complete cesspools of humanity and we wouldn't know unless we follow the gossip. In contrast, Streamers are showing live personality at all times. That might be good or bad, fake or genuine, but either way it's a totally different type of exposure. If the actors we like were also streaming we might also see things, in relatively short order, that we find offputting. Money chats or not, An actor who streams would suddenly be open to that same type of more-vulnerable exposure, and gain or lose viewers accordingly.

In other words, streamers might just flame out because their personality is constantly available for scrutiny, which is its own stress, and if they are trying to be charismatic or funny for hours at a time it's probably a stress that takes it's toll relatively quickly.
