I recall reading that they filed a legal response to litigation threatening to sue them for libel over it, in which they said "We never said or suggested the letter was real, we're just reporting on it, so you can't sue us for libel"

The system attracts and rewards people who are compromised by it. It will naturally reject people that are the threat to it.

Trump was never a politician he never put in the work, he did alot of other things but politics wasnt one of them.

Thats why he won, the people chose the not politician.

Worse for the system trump didnt want buisness as asual he wanted to change thing, to fix things, to get credit for the things he did.

this means he step on and was a threat to everyone one around him and they spent his first term fucking with him hard.

Then he got 4 years to learn who was fucking with him to learn who was stabbing him, and where the support networds were for what mike benz calls the blob.

so yeah he takes those first steps and honestly its amazing how much got done in one year.

One of my favorite old Trump moments is when, I think it was during an interview. The headline was something along the lines of "girls were raped", and Trump just yells to the news anchor: "WELL, WHO IS DOING THE RAPING?", as everything goes quiet because they obviously didn't want to mention they were black or Mexican.

When he approaches a subject in a direct and blunt manner it's always comedy good.

Page 2 and 3 of the Motion to Dismiss on Trump v. Murdoch states that the defendant believes the article is true and it is not defamatory.

What the defense contends is that the article is substantially true (the main point is true), sufficient to survive a motion to dismiss. The prosecution can’t prove that the article is not substantially true, which in this case is a letter with his signature on it.

So I have been mostly just sharing news and shit posting in the new year and other than a few notable fuck ups, tried to avoid giving my direct opinion on things that are "divisive"

But this post just stands out to me, in a past life Ive done a little bit of manufacturing and the Chinese, while being absurdly hard bargainers, ive found to be very reliable and dependable work partners who will deliver what you agreed on for the right price on time, there is ALWAYS exceptions to this but after you have dealt with a German or God forbid a Fr*nch manufacture you realize how much those 3 things cant be taken for granted.

I know people used to and still do make alot of hay about "Chinese quality" but for finished machined parts you just cant do any better unless your going artisanal/boutique.

Does this mean a aluminum wheel hub from Shenzhen is as good as one from Frankfurt? No not really but my experience is its ROUGHLY 80% as good for 1/8th OR LESS of the price and it will get to you 5 times faster and with greater volumes AND ON TIME (Euro and even American manufacturers seem to think its ok for ALL delivery dates to be flexible for "insert reason here" covid, the weather, some worker shortage it never ends and there is no accountability unless you want to take your buisness elsewhere and then more american/western manufacturing is overseaed)

SO ALL THAT TO SAY

I remember communicating with my receiver over there who was a national but seemed like a decent guy, anyway, I was musing to him about why there was such a disparity in our respective countrys mentality towards manufacturing but more in a broader context, and he told me a phrase they have over there thats stuck with me, and just to be fair im paraphrasing a remark I heard a LONG time ago.

"You are a nation of lawyers run by lawyers and we are a nation of engineers run by engineers" and that shit STUCK with me, apparently in chinnese its alot more poetic but it got its point across to me then and still rings true in my eyes to this day.

Since then our jobs dispersing have gotten worse and judges(upjumped lawyers) and lawyers (bullshit artists with good memorys) have increasingly been the "decision makers" in our country beacuse they are lifetime appointments and often unable to be reviewed by anyone but themselves, hell federal judges arent even elected so they are they HEIGHT of disconnection with the people.

Not dooming btw, this is a post to say Judges need to be local only and yearly elected by the locality they serve
