Everyone is going to call me a turbofag for this, so be it.
Thank you Null, for keeping the Kiwi Farms up and running even in the face of overwhelming obstacles against you. You succeeded where everyone else likely would have failed.
I hope you get to buy that land with a nice house and have that family you always wanted.
Maybe a vacation too lol.
Here's to many more years of Kiwi Farms, or until Null gets fucking sick of us.

Have a nice little clip of Null describing his website.

I've seen dark corners of the internet. I remember when people could be frank. Jannies have always been a thorn but the sanitization of the internet has come with considerable decline in discourse and that has become reflected in the insanity of the real world. Kiwi Farms is a place where I can see people being earnest. People can disagree with the ridiculousness in society and even with each other and that is refreshing.

I never cared much for the drama aspect. Lolcows aren't my choice of entertainment. But this place still has plenty of opportunities for discussion. and I really appreciate that.

Thank you, Null.

On this day, 13 years ago, the forum went public and the denizens of the CWCki Forums migrated over permanently.

Great! Now Vito wants to fuck the website.

Sometimes I remember that I've been on this website for 11 years and it makes me realize a couple things. That time flies, but primarily that I seriously need to get a life.
the most embarrassing thing is that I remember you joined for the Entersphere. I don't even know why I remember this.

I don't remember the timeline, was kiwifarms called lolcows.com or something similar at some point? I remember having an account there and then it got shut down / renamed to kiwifarms, which I then just lurked before making this account.

Did Josh own that site also?

I’m very happy that the farms are still around. It is one of the few major sites around that still embrace free speech.

Despite the biases amongst the user base and topics, this place actually allows people to dissent. You very rarely find that on the internet these days. On Reddit power mods will ban you from cat subreddits if you dissent. You don’t even have to be a member of Conservative, just any moderate offhand comment somewhere on the site where you express approval of illegals getting deported, guarantees a perma from unrelated subreddits.

In fact most places today are either left or right wing echo chambers where any form of dissent is met with exclusion, sprinkled with complimentary death threats.

On Kiwifarms you can agree to disagree, and use every bad word ever invented without some malding ass mad janny going full Stasi/Gestapo on you.

So thanks for having the balls to do that. Here’s to many more years of letting people type what they want to type.

It's kind of sad most people from that first thread are long gone. Only HHH, Trombonista and Null remain it seems :(

The Deagle Nation doesn't get brought up enough. It was the first and only time I understood kayfabe and why fans believe in it so much, it ran so long and with so much detail it provided a seemingly endless amount of entertainment and it was a necessary lesson on how a troll forum (oh, sorry, documentation salon) can be magnificently trolled itself.

I think the Crackhead Olympics and Creator Clash 2 were some of the best shitshows I was able to follow here in real time in recent years. Plus the birth of both of Ralph's children, how surreal.
On a bittersweet note, this was also the best place to be after Cobes' passing. Sharing food and drink hacks with everyone was a really sweet way to honor his memory. Better not make me cry again, BOY *sigh*

Joined for SomethingAwful drama; stuck around for the Tranch and various fat women; understood how dire things were during Keffals and Dong Gone; immensely appreciated having a space to laugh/rage about trannies and be racist against Indians, Arabs, blacks, and Mexicans when there was no where else to do both; and enjoyed having a place to over-analyze Fishtank and call Jet a retard before he came out officially as retarded... even as a late joiner, this place has been a delight. My only regret is not leaving SA for here sooner, during the first Shmorky drama.
