To be perfectly honest, I think this supposed preference among people is a style of peacocking in the same way that loudly talking about how kinky you are (being into anal et al) is. It makes you seem zesty and edgy in a way that's supposed to make you seem desirable to people who want to be with someone wild.

That and, in the case of BPD bitches specifically, I get the feeling this philosophy is primarily touted by shut-in retards who have never actually had the displeasure of being with someone like this for any real period of time. I think it might be a conception that largely comes from partaking in works of fiction that portray the stereotype in a romanticized way - just like with quirky girls, you see all of the upsides but none of the downsides, which does a disservice to the fact that maybe 5% of it is "the good part" and the rest is perpetually anxious, miserable garbage.

All that's to say that I firmly believe the people who claim to want to be with people like this are probably the same kind of cringey embarrassing loser who glom onto AAVE to sound hip. Terminally online idiots who have a distinct lack of exposure to real life, and merely emulate what they see as the customs of a worldly person.
