This conversation in this thread makes me wanna read Proust, my favorite fag writer who loved women and deeply respected them and deeply resented men's hatred and treatment of them. He wrote a lot about wealthy women and their conversations in the salon and would often (with permission) sit in on groups of women talking, having tea, sewing circles, the like, and would write down tidbits of their conversation in his diaries, later (again, with permission) reproducing these conversations and anonymizing them in his work. He wrote in his diaries that women, all women, had "fascinating lives," interior and exterior, and how he hated the fact that "the chief principle of marriage seems to be dulling women into servants" and how proud he was to know women who absolutely refused to do that.

Well I was a little shit back then and had seen some butches in a movie and decided I want to be like that, when I grow up, not like those looks-obsessed girls.
