I keep seeing people saying he's deporting somalis —& now hatiians apparently when I've only seen him deporting people south of the border. Even the guys ICE was arresting during the Good situation were allegedly tied to Tren de Aragua yet people in the thread were calling him a somali. Has Trump actually deported any somalis with ties to the fraud going on in Minnesota yet?

unrelated but i guess we are in peak Trump fatigue especially among young conservatives and libertarians (i saw a lot of young people and conservative like stars straight up saying they don't support Trump anymore on Instagram and more) and not only that because there is also democrats names on the list, so could this trigger a lot of republican voters towards other third party options, could the libertarian party finally have its gold opportunity? I'm not american so maybe this is a really dumb question

Libertarian party got subverted by Democrats years ago and don't have a platform that works with the realities of American politics anyways. Free markets allow for creative destruction and Americans only like the Free market when they're winning. When they're losing, they vote for tariffs and wars against economic competitors.

Right wingers are just not going to show up to vote for at least the midterms, if not the general. I would say it's an opening for the Dems, but the Dems are the gay, black tranny party.

It is honestly kinda dumb. The libertarian party is pretty much a joke of a political party that ends up with candidates that argue for legalizing drug dealers because they don't think the government should be involved in anyone's lives.

So the most you get of them in real politics are some Republicans that maybe play to their sympathies a little like Rand Paul, who ends up not really doing much meaningful.

What typically happens when there's a political shift is you see the different parts of each political party just shift themselves in what they aim to actually do. So like the Republicans pivoted when Trump was re-elected to allowing massive funding for ICE and getting the massive tax cuts including some reduction in taxes on tips. Democrats meanwhile are reacting by moving away from trans issues and focusing more on affordability.

So figures like AOC wanting to say everything is racist would have less influence while figures like Buttigieg may gain more of a voice as they edge towards things like policies to get more housing developed.

Meanwhile for Republicans you'd see the more MAGA aligned congressmen treated as clowns as you see some moderates pop up. Though it's hard to even tell who that'd be right now since most of them are scared shitless of meaningfully distancing themselves from Trump's less popular policies like on tariffs and street killings.
