It’s not always obvious to older people especially, but a large portion of the political streamer audience is only watching these guys as lolcows or engaging with short form video in the most casual and superficial ways.
When these influencers stumble onto the correct position, usually for purely cynical or deeply incoherent reasons, it only makes the truth matter less.
None of these figures could survive Trump saying, “This guy is kind of a retard now.”

[ cut ], legal immigration was on track to decline by as much as 1/2 by the end of Trump’s term, along with countless other developments that would have seemed like fantasies back then, they would probably think that Richard Spencer had become President.
