Guys I'm beginning to think that we are in a bonafide civil war. A cold war where one side keeps trying to turn the heat on.
Remember in the 70s they thought the entire US agreed with them and just needed a sign, like a pipe bomb, to trigger the revolution. They genuinely thought most of the country wanted communism but was too afraid to step up first, but once someone else did, they'd all join in.

The people we're seeing now have been trained by those same people in the 70s, and in some cases literally are taking orders from the same people. And much like in the 70s, they think they have support of the entire country other than some vague, nebulous, "rednecks" in the "flyover states" that don't matter and are so stupid they keep getting tricked into voting against their own interests. They think that once real communism is forced upon us everyone will love it and come to realize all that "self determination" and "property ownership" was just a form of Stockholm syndrome.
The commies are 8% of the US. Of those, a fraction of them are the leader types, the rest are useful idiots who think they want communism but would never do anything.

The only solace is the 8% being batshit is causing the rest of the country to inch away from the 20-30%, slowly but surely.
