2025 is the year Jen gets a demo

Unsurprising Jen did not get a public demo out in 2025. Even with spending most of the year banned off bluesky he's still not done. Recent posts on his RPGmaker forum account says he is working on the final dungeon now.

He was mentioned by some faggot on bluesky a couple days ago. (link)

The tileset makes my eyes hurt, it's like staring at one of those magic eye puzzles.
Zoomed out the floor look like a giant spike pit. I've been working on making tilesets for print-and-paste D&D terrain and I thought they were mediocre at best; compared to this mine look downright professional.

This is so much worse than even the basic RPG Maker tileset (high quality, just repetitive when seen throughout so many games). Jen couldn't even make the shine on the wall bricks a shape, it's a fucking line. Make it at least look like a rounded square, dumbass, 12 year olds can figure this out.

The biggest problem aside from low quality is that there is too much contrast on the floor tiles (to the point I can see the brightest spot in each tile even from the thumbnail), and the walls are close in value to the floor so they also blend in a bit. This is a nightmare for navigation as it gives the magic eye effect others talked about. Enjoy the same fucking dungeon layout shifted around with repetitive and confusing navigational points and a screaming loud floor, player child.

My first thought is 'why is the entire floor covered in traps'? It's just.. bad isn't enough.. megabad.
Not to mention the lack of any interesting path or indicators of any sort. Both directions the player can go are functionally unmarked, end in uninteresting dead ends, none of the rooms visually reward the player in any way for exploring or finding them, not so much as a single novel sprite. Game designers figured out in the 90's that it was a good idea to sprinkle around some unique visuals in the important areas to make them stand out and encourage the player to investigate them and find whatever macguffin they needed to progress. We're nearly 40 years on from that point, there's no excuse to not have learned the lesson via osmosis.

Even the indie rpgmaker horror games moved on from just slapping a key item on the floor somewhere nearly 20 years ago, so if you don't wanna compare to the 'professional' stuff that's the amateur minimum effort required still.

If there ever was one image, or meme, or "best animal picture of an animal that isn't actively dying" or something you'd remember this entire painful, hilarious and just ridiculous story by, what would it be?

“The Last Supper at the FurCon.” The photo where they’re all sitting around the table with their big shit-eating, autistic grins and joined by a new and fatal player in this grand drama: Kindness.

And no one, not us and not them, could have forseen the kind of high-octane crazy that was coming down the pipe.

One of my favorites still is Penny, Bonnie, and Jarod all in the car with their taticool gear about to "rescue a trans woman from a fascist area". Two speds taking their son sped out for a drive.

The other is one of the articles had a picture of all the tranches lined up in profile, Kevin being one of the tallest and his gunt protruding. All of them standing there proud... on their desert wasteland.

Or just the stove with the 2 knobs melted off and super grody after 6 weeks. Or their basement wiring job. Things that scream they could not DIY out of a paper bag.

Taco night and the troonshine cult platter, making sure everyone takes their dose of delusion collectively.

I've also got vague memories of them having a shopping cart full of the last foods you'd want on hand to feed a ranch, like frozen waffles and shit, but I don't remember the exact criticisms. Lost to time, I suppose.

The barn that was just a metal framework with a tarp over it is right up there. Also, the firing range that didn't have a backstop. I am very much not a gun person and even I know that's an insanely stupid idea.

Costco shopping trip but all they bought were prepackaged meals and microwave dinners.

Gotta be their destruction of the land being visible from space. Truly incredible.
