Nah, Vicky's been munching since she was a teenager. I seem to remember that it came up a while back that she claimed to have celiac disease (despite admittedly testing negative for it) back in high school.

And then memoryhole it when they're like "actually this is basically a synonymous mutation" or the closest you can (because were it synonymous i.e. coding for the same amino acid, that will be known immediately so not a variant of unknown significance). have without being certain. It would be funny if they test every gene associated with MG and find she hasn't got a single relevant allele.

That repost about no one being stressed like a 24-29 year old thinking they're running out of time irked me irrationally. Well maybe rationally, cos I'm sure we can all name 20 more stressful situations easily. Just shows she has never actually had any real stress in her life, ditto whoever made it.
 
All these people with such crippling fatigue sure do spend a lot of time detailing their life to strangers, fighting people and arguing with doctors. I'm exhausted just reading by how much they harass the medical system.

It seems so much simpler to just work part time at some chill job than it is to constantly be attending appointments, arguing at them and then spending the rest of your day on the phone tweeting while calling every specialist in the white book

This may shock you, but extensive use of corticosteroids can cause IgA levels to plummet. So can various super special diseases, which is probably the case with V here.

The sex stuff is super weird. I do agree that kids need to learn about sexual health for both sexes, but surely that's already the case. Even where she comes from (which I believe is some obscure tribal village of a Guarani Jews?).

Very confused by this- I can only imagine doctors giving patients a choice about risks when proposing different treatment routes for serious conditions. But its usually more along the lines of a) death b) serious side effects and possibly still death.

The replies seem to be about informed consent etc re prednisone, radiation, etc. If I have a broken bone I don't give a single flying fuck about the radiation from an X ray, just do what you need to so you can fix it; ditto exacerbation of asthma, Vicky with all her experience of not being able to breathe will know what a difference prednisone makes.

But I don't think that's what she's getting at, I think she's probably been asking for completely unindicated medications for her made up conditions and is being told they are bad for you and taking offense when doctors tell her it will be huge side effects for no reward instead of giving her the option.

i was right about her college schedule. Most people her age have been in full time work for at least 5 years, so probably feel similarly to me about her use of the word "commute" in her previous tweets.
 
What kind of fuck-ass worthless sex-ed did Vicky get where she was only educated on female puberty and sexual health? She was not educated in a 1950s nunnery. She was educated in a progressive modern environment and is just lying as usual in an attempt to sound marginalized. Also fucking gross, Vicky. No one needs to learn about anal sex or strap ons to have a comprehensive sexual education, and I wish she wouldn’t mention that shit because now I’m picturing her moon-faced blob body thrusting about with a silicone penis. On a funnier note, I recently got a copy of the new Miriam-Webster 12th Edition Dictionary and am having a tremendous amount of autistic fun exploring the English language. I had a bit of a laugh when I came across this reference to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and I couldn’t help but think of our girl here. Even Miriam-Webster knows the CFS crowd is full of shit.

If my schools growing up had had the kind of sex ed Vicky proposes, I would've asked my parents to excuse me from sex ed for "religious reasons" out of pure secondhand embarrassment for the instructors.

What I would give to be a fly on the wall in one of Vicky's doctors appointments.

I have a general impression that she bum rushes new doctors with complex prescription records and claims of past diagnoses of multiple uncommon illnesses that aren't the munchie standards. The fitted custom wheelchair is a nice touch. They admit her or prescribe some kind of stop gap medication while they try to sort out records and tests, and then it takes a few visits/days for them to detangle everything and confirm that she's not actually ill outside of the prednisone abuse and deconditioning. Often at least one test comes back out of bounds, whether it's by random chance or whether it's a medication side effect, and they do further workup of that (see: genetic testing for low IgA). They don't have the time/energy to explain to her that further workup isn't needed without risking calls to the manager, so they give up and order the test. Of course, if you order 100 tests with normal ranges that cover 95% of the healthy population, it's pretty typical for 5 of them to come back out of range.

I wonder whether fictitious disorder is in any of her charts, or if her doctors are disconnected enough that they haven't put all the pieces together. FND seems to be hinting at it, but I'm not sure whether those records are widely shared.
