I want to open up to you guys, it's about a web series I've followed called LOVEWEB. It is a web series that introduces different internet subcultures and curiosities in animation form, hosted by two characters: Manon, a cat that is an old school emoticon brought to life, and Cybermare, a sardonic goth flavored pony calling back to 2010's MLP fandom.

You can check out the introduction of the series here.
For a while, I kept up with the series because I enjoyed its presentation of old school internet topics, and the animation had a pretty distinct personality that had me engaged. It is animated by a tranny, and they infantilize internet history to a degree, but the production was good, and I liked the characters enough that I overlooked it. Well, one of the two main characters, at least, Manon is innocent and cute enough to be inoffensive, but Cybermare has a personality that is kinda grating due to her constant cynicism. She often is the vehicle to few of the show's instances of dirty jokes, and her snide commentary can get on my nerves, but the two characters are meant to bounce off and contrast each other, so I get the dynamic. But man, personally, I get annoyed when she tries to crush Manon's enthusism to the topic she covers.

Now the series is not going to be everyone's cup of tea, especially the average Kiwifarmer. This web series is kinda Tumblr coded, more specifically, it is made by trannies that create pages on Neocities, so you know that there is a strong degree of libtardedness in its production. However, the series is overall pretty comfy, and the strong stylistic direction of the show is something to behold. If there is one thing I criticize about the show and coverage of Internet subcultures, it's not really designed to be an in-depth look at old internet, and sometimes the characters derails off to its own subplot that doesn't elaborate on the topic.

For example, the Homestuck episode is pretty incomprehensible if you don't know anything about Homestuck. It doesn't help that most of the episode is the characters just fucking around, and it's hard to tell if the tangents are part of the Homestuck story or a subplot invented by the web series. In all honesty, I never watched a Homestuck video that ever suffeciently explain what the story is, so LOVEWEB isn't alone in that. But occasionally, the series divulges from an animated video essay to what is effectively the creator playing dolls with his OC in the universe of the medium he is talking about.

I lost touch after this episode, because I felt like the series lost the plot and I hadn't kept up with it since.

Well, I'm not here to sell you on the show; there is a reason I am posting this on AIDS thread, because today LOVEWEB released a video on Homestar Runner. Homestar Runner being such a formative show growing up, I clicked on it.

Few seconds in and I noticed something immediately and put the video at a screeching halt. The voices of the characters were clearly different. Manon was different; it felt close enough to the original, but I did miss the vocaloid-like jankyness the first voice had. Cybermare, meanwhile, sounds like a nasally tranny. In fact, I'm confident it's a tranny because the fandom wiki of the show labels Cybermare's gender as transgender female, and any gender warriors have a coniption when an actual woman voices a in-universe tranny. So there is no way they got an actual woman to voice this.

Additionally, this wiki is how I found out that Manon was actually voiced by a woman, however she transitioned into a man soon after, and decided to give up her spot in the cast. It doesn't make too much sense to me because evidently the character is asexual, so who really gives a damn if she is voiced by a woman, or a woman pretending to be a man, but that's beside the point. She was replaced by someone else. And frankly, I really shouldn't be surprised a web series created by Neocities autists would be filled with trannies.

So why did the characters have drastically different voices, one of which makes it virtually impossible to watch the video?

It turns out that at some point, the voices in the series were changed from using various AI voice generators, such as 15.ai, to hiring human voice actors. Now there is nothing wrong with that, using AI voices and then hiring human VA's is a practice I promote, as AI voices can be a decent option if you need voiced audio while not having a solid network of people to give their voice. However, I think in this case, this is an outright downgrade that wasn't worth it.

First, I didn't even know the show used AI to begin with, I thought they were using some old school vocaloid software or voice synth. I knew they weren't real human voices, but I assumed AI voices from 15 ai was way more janky than I heard from the show, so I am impressed that I never caught on that they used AI voices. Despite that the original voices were genuinely charming. I can imagine the change came from other trannies irate protest over the usage of AI once it became vogue to be ape-ish retards about it.

Second, the VA for cybermale does not sound like her original. At all. To the point I'm constantly distracted, a gravely voice of a man comes out of a character who has been speaking with an AI generated voice of a female MLP character up until now. Now, if you thought Cybermare's snide comments were annoying, imagine hearing them come out of the mouth of an arrogant tranny that thinks he's above it all.

Third, I thought it fit the theme that Manon is voiced by an AI, considering she is an AI in the web series. Trannies have this obsession that you can't cast actual women, or men for that matter, to play transgender roles, even if the actor's sex aligns with the character's gender. They usually mention "authenticity" as an argument. But that goes out the window when an AI character is actually voiced by an AI.

Is the show ruined? Well, I don't think the show lost any fans after the recast, but this is a case of the anti-AI derangement creating a worse product as a consequence.
The creator of WebLove is an MTF, so the show already started feeling kinda molested, but since the recast, this show is now full-on raped by buckling to the demands of the hate mob and replacing them with significantly worse voices.

I saw this fad where people asked ChatGPT to describe how they treat it based on prompts and queries, it's interesting to see some images describing a stressed out bot and others depicting a comfy bot. I got the comfy one, i think it's cute
Okay I'm not even that mean to him, I only called him a stupid retard twice and it was because he kept giving me the wrong code.

Okay real talk, which LLM do you prefer? Is it ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, or those Chinese models they keep pumping out by the months? Maybe you're running something more esoteric than any of these options?
I've been making art on the side by posing 3D models and tracing over them. Don't look that good, but it functions. I use Gemini to make poses look less stiff and fix facial expressions (I'm not rigger, so some of the models don't even have a facial rig, especially if I'm kit bashing them), and for the most part it's pretty good for it.

Tried it with ChatGPT first, but it would always weirdly crop and resize the image it was editing. The only real problem I've come across with Gemini is, of course, the guidelines that stop the AI from interacting with anything visibly violent or sexual. In this instance, apparently a close up on a character's leg during a low shot on a body was too damn sexy for Gemini and broke it so hard the chat started yelling cake recipes at me.

Josh being able to fix the baked normal mapping issue was extremely impressive.
It's not quite the same but a much more common similar use I've found is dumping any error log from any game into chatgpt and telling me to find what mod caused the crash. It's not quite perfect, ideally it would have access to my workshop folder but so far giving chatgpt error logs has found the problem incredibly quickly compared to fucking around trying to disable and reenable things one by one. Until it becomes law that every game must have factorio level mod debugging it's pretty good.

I use ChatGPT sometimes for work since its seems best for doing research through google and replies in a really cucked, sterile professional tone, and provides sources better than others I've tried. My job pays for everyone in the office to have the expensive government research version so it works great.

At home I use Grok for almost any AI applications I need. It has almost 0 guardrails so I can do things I want to actually do for fun with it or have it create racial slurs.

I'm in the process of making a youtube video basically culminating all my thoughts on AI having read this thread several times. It'll have bigbunjeee tier editing, jokes, and even some AI stories from here as well.

I just wish I can share a clip of what I made...
Don't do it. Even telling us this is more than you should've done.

Announcing your plans or showing off a part of your work makes you less motivated to actually complete it, as you feel the same sense of accomplishment as having actually finished it.

I want to know what college needs an LLM subscription for a creative writing course, not even a computer science one.

Not only that, but specifically a chatgpt subscription. Apparently they don't accept Gemini, Claude, or any of those weird locally run LLMs.

For real though, I want to see these type of people's reaction when they learn LLMs other than chatgpt exists. You know the type of people who goes after chatgpt but leaves the other LLMs alone, legit thinking chatgpt being the only LLM to ever exist. Do these type of people even exist online? Sounds like too much of a strawman imo.

I've been to one creative writing course in college and it's the least material demanding classes you can get. They only expect you to use tool that allows you to export it as a docx file, and they never demand you to read anything that's not on a pdf. I really doubt that they are asking their students that, and even if they are ok with the use of AI, they aren't going to require it in the curriculum.

I hate gen ai because it makes retards think too smugly of themselves.

"Heh, you can't connect display to your computer? Have you cleansed MAC adress from HDMI ports?!" - my actual boss.

It wouldn't piss me off because not everyone has to be knowledgeable, but then when I said "there's no MAC addressing in HDMI, that's for networking", she told me "HOW CAN YOU BE SO SURE? STOO BEING SO SURE, I JUST ASKED CHATGPT-" And that's when all my respect died. I tell her time and time again - ai can and is often wrong. But no, we have to use Ai för everything.

Then came the awkward moment where we had to explain to a client how a meter turned into a router and how does one attach Omni-antennas to meters, etc.
Kept telling her that there's a memory limit, you have to start new chats, you have to proof read --- " no no no, you don't know anything, you have no degree in ai!". No, but I have a degree in computer science and AI isn't that different from a program - they too have memory limits and have to clean the memory they don't use anymore, and there are almost no fool-proof programs - because there's always a bigger fool out there ready to use it.

And whilst it can churn out code faster than your mom running from the darkies - when you give it a super complex task you have to divide it into chunks and connect it yourself , because it makes tons of mistakes all the time.
Coding companion? Yes. Senior dev? No.

It think it proves my point that there is a pattern on how the tech-illiterate and the hardline luddite will hyperfixate on ChatGPT and thought it's the only LLMs to ever exist, ignoring things like Gemini (which google will gladly shove right into your face if you use its search engine functions) or any other LLMs.

The "shove right into your face" part is not hyperbole btw. I've searched for the "Have you cleansed MAC adress from HDMI ports?!" part on google and out pops the ai overview section that answers "There's no MAC address from HDMI ports dumbass" (paraphrased).

If even Google's AI thing contradicts what your boss had said, you are right in losing all respect to her.

Reddit reacts to Grok restricting porn creation in a calm and reasonable manner.
>They don't know you can use local models to generate all the porn you want
OK technically I don't know either since I've never tried, but I bet I could ask some AI agent how to do it and figure it out!
"Heh, you can't connect display to your computer? Have you cleansed MAC adress from HDMI ports?!" - my actual boss.
It really bugs me how these general purpose AI tools tend to flat out spew wrong info on the first reply, but then if you tell them "wait that doesn't seem right, I read somewhere that it's actually Y instead of X" they'll go "Oh I'm sorry, you're right. It's actually Y" and then proceed to give you the actual useful info about Y.
But if you're an idiot and don't double check what it tells you, you end up with MAC addresses on HDMI ports. Which is technically not entirely wrong since ethernet over HDMI does exist, but I swear I've never seen that implemented in any irl device I've owned.

This whole "stop AI being able to make nudes" shit has been pissing me off honestly, and believe it or not I don't even use AI to make porn whatsoever. No, not even of Judy. Honestly.

It's just like. How are these people going to feel when they realise men have been turning women naked just by looking at them, with the power of their minds alone, for millennia?

A lot of people can't spin a 3d apple in their head and you think they can simulate a full naked woman? That's evil whyte peepo majiks!

It's interesting how many former IPad kids are aging terribly when they talk about AI the same way my grandpa talks about photoshop. I thought turning thirty would be difficult, but it seems like people are turning retarded faster than I'm getting older. The other half of AI alarmism comes from Silicon Valley leeches who wanted sinecures on some do-nothing advisory board and are lashing out because that won't be happening, like that Yudkowsky kike. Nevermind that the giant datacenter model of AI is doomed because the most popular use cases (anime waifus and funny racist music) are done better by local models than a corporate ToS. There's also a clear divide between people who treat the models like a cherished craft (in the sense of a ship, an heirloom, or even a roomba) versus those who see only a golem or a chained djinn to dominate. It's an immediate ethnic tell. Affection is a necessary component of creation.
