So we can add mental health and staying sane on social media to the things Jake thinks he is qualified to give advice on, alongside such topics as dating, cookery, medicine, computer repair and physics.

If everyone understands the situation, they're all plenty upset about it already, and any sort of venting of my hatred at the people responsible or grief over it, or the dark fantasies it's making me explore

I wonder what violent gnome fantasies run through Jake's head.

It's all done except the last sentence.
He's still waiting on CHELSAY! to stop listening to the Nazi whisper networks, running to his side in apology. Then she can hold his hand and serve him hot cocoa in a Princess Leia gold bikini as he finally finishes his magnum opus like he's been fantasizing for the past decade.

Console news. Jake has been going over his design notes, only to discover his "look" has been pipped by the Casio Loopy (in 1995).

I'm glad Jake's commenting more on game design. Didn't Massive versus the Masses have huge game-breaking bugs? I don't remember, it's been a long time since I saw any rules for it or commentary.

I'd bet money when Jake actually had a gaming group he tried to railroad the story. I don't think he'd be good with unplanned actions and locations. Improv's half the fun of gaming. When a game is too rigid, it gets boring.

I love the optimism of this emeres person asking Jake if he’ll add more features. He hasn’t demonstrated a single physical hookup yet but let’s add more features. In honor of Dilbert I’ll borrow one of the pointy-haired boss’s lines: “anything I don’t understand is easy.”

Adding an addressable set of lights isn’t hard as far as these things go but it’s a huge difference to draw it in MSPaint versus hooking up wires and chips.

No joke, Jake could benefit from those learn to build things courses using Arduinos or Raspberry Pi’s. Setting up an array of LEDs is usually part of the course. At least that would be a step towards his dream of a new console.

That Jaketendo 64 sketch is something else

He already did that whole "Build a calculator from wires and breadboards" kit, it didn't help.

Reviewed the Jakestream for Monday 1/12/2026. Today's onstream food: stew!

As usual, nothing interesting in the games, but while a game was loading he went on this really bizarre tangent about wrestling (since he was playing WWE games). He doesn't know much about wrestling, but at some unspecified time he was into one of the other non-WWE women's wrestling federations. According to him...
- It had "really really elaborate costumes and really really elaborate, like, stunt work. and there's a giant woman who was trans, and that's cool".
- One of the women wrestlers was a dentist IRL
- There was video game stuff and a lot of openly gay stuff, and "some kind of little goblin man who lives under the ring"
- One little boy got seriously injured for real on the show
- There was a guy whose catchphrase was "scissor me daddy ass"
- There was a guy named Sting who wore white facepaint
- Luke Perry's son and Robocop made appearances (??)

Does any of this delirium ring a bell to anyone?

It seems like Factorio streams aren't happening, there apparently wasn't one last Friday and he didn't mention any upcoming ones on this stream. The CompSci stream will remain a dream :(

I'm not a console designer but the Dreamcast sounds like a horrible console to take design ideas from because it died a horrible death.

Why would you have a single mini secondary display on the console itself, what if it's place somewhere not visible? What about for multi player games? What about games that don't support it?

Sony figured this out 13 years ago and used the controller light/light bar as a secondary feedback device and it's per-player.

You can tell Jake has no idea what he's doing just by the things he's saying even so early on in the process.

For the kind of brainmelted autist who'd even consider buying a custom console, this is like saying "Jesus Christ is a bad role model because he died a criminal's death".
For whatever reason, Dreamcast is  revered by these people.

His game is essentially OGRE, an asymmetrical one-versus-many situation, and the asymmetry is busted. I forget which side always wins, but given two competent players either the one or the many always wins.

I did some digging and it looks to be All Elite Wrestling that was founded in 2019 so it's pretty new.
Clicking through wikipedia I found an example of the "really elaborate costumes"

Jake doesn’t really understand theory of mind. He liked the Dreamcast, so everyone does (except Nazis).
The end of his recap.

Glad to hear he recovered from his PTSD that caused suicidal ideation.
