Amazing cover of an already amazing song.
It was always an emotional listen for me but it hits even harder after losing an uncle and grandfather within a couple months of each other a few years back.

Johnny Cash, like Hank Williams, Sr., was always one of the best American artists. His version of Christianity made Christianity actually look good.

He is one of the few Christian musicians who spent most of his time actually doing the walk. He viewed Christ's redemption as universal and went into places like Folsom Prison to deliver a message of redemption and to give succour and comfort to the most suffering people in the world.
