I also remember the part a year or so later where he sued the cowering media and they settled out of court to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars.

He didn't successfully sue any media companies. He settled with NBC, CNN, and the Washington Post for a non disclosed amount. The other lawsuits failed. There is no way he got hundred of millions of dollars. That is retarded. You are claiming this kid got the largest single payout in US Civil court history.
