PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents shot two people in Portland on Thursday afternoon, according to Portland city councilors.

The shooting occurred near East Burnside and 141st Avenue.

The condition of the two people who were shot wasn’t immediately known but Portland City Council President Elana Pirtle-Guiney said as far as she knew they were still alive.

Sources told ABC News that the FBI is leading the investigation.

A statement is expected soon from the FBI.

yeah someone must've fat fingered the tiny keys on their phone screen when typing that tweet. it feels more like PR than actual evidence, but who am i to say that. hope some footage and identification of the man & woman shot is released, that would do a whole lot to make the situation clearer. ICE should carry bodycams, it would benefit them too and give lots of interesting footage

They know the two people shot were illegals running a prostitution ring and how bad it looks talking about how they're crying over them getting shot so they have to bitch about ICE.
