When she talks about the IRL reaction she never mentions anyone cutting her off, and Clara and Rie are progressive enough to have a problem with that stream.
Eimi is more likely than Rie. Probably more likely than Clara. Maybe it's only Eimi, who's been on some kind of woke crashout (excuse the childish language) lately, and Shiina said "friends" as a kindness.

Funny that her "racism" is being able to tell people apart because she's nice. In not being indifferent to everyone around her, she's noticed how they look. As an actual racist, I barely bother. Looks stupid? Avoid. I suuuuuuck at that game.

Eimi is tumblr brained but Clara is someone who was retarded enough to keep up a smug "private" public instagram filled with Politic-sperging even after being a Phase talent for a year or so now, either way its reading tea leaves

I think the "friends" she is talking about are other phase talents. When she talks about the IRL reaction she never mentions anyone cutting her off, and Clara and Rie are progressive enough to have a problem with that stream.
In that clip where does she specify IRL or others? I can only hear "Friends that left", this honestly sounds like it was made up. Also, i think Rie has allegedly played Ethnoguesser on members before

Meemaw explained why she knew what she knew in that stream. She studied this.
I genuinely thought the first one was Melanesian/Micronesian because of past knowledge. I didn't catch the thing she noticed around the eye area.

I kneel to you, tiny Asian woman.

These 3 are old reliable for phase rrats, just stick their names to any problem at phase and you've got yourself a juicy rrat to spam /vt/ with

Eimi and Rie may be woke but they have a sense of humor
Eimi actually recently complained herself about friends ditching her for failing purity tests and not being quite woke enough

Tenma actually stopped talking to Shiina over that stream because she wasn't racist enough.
The double racism buff Tenma gets is insane. East Asian racism + Balkan racism is an underappreciated combination that is rarely seen.

Their loss, Eimi is hilarious.

TLDR: I am very late to the vtuber discussion but have opinions anyway

I liked the idea of virtual YouTubers, but the results speak for themselves. Some people are clever and smart, but simply don’t have the appearance for videos. This used to be referred to as “having a face meant for radio” like some fat, or ugly disk jockeys from the past. They had the voice of an angel, but face like a can of dog food.

The same is true of today, people can be needlessly severe with appraising people’s looks. “Oh she has too much/little make up” or something else. Or some people just want to remain anonymous, that’s fine as well.

But I think people have used their “virtual presence” as a mask they can take on and off at will. That’s not really how it works. If you said something stupid, you still said it.

For example, it doesn’t matter if Bruce Wayne committed a crime while wearing the Batman mask. Bruce Wayne still committed a crime with or without it, since you cannot put Batman on trial. And Vtubers seem to think they are “in character” when they do silly things. But it is a thin veneer if there is any difference at all.

This probably started in the ‘00s on YouTube when YouTubers would use personas or even “fursonas” to discuss stuff. Usually a couple of stock poses, nothing too creative. This led to incredible cringe:

Pic related. Think of when Chris would do “call out” videos trying to be a tough guy and pulling out the “claw of fail”, or holding his palm up while clenching his fingers. Really gay.

Yall don’t mess with this Chris nigga fr fr 😩 he ain’t afraid to pull out the claw

I just felt like saying all that. Shower thoughts. I’m probably really late to the party. But for people who are genuinely funny, there probably isn’t much of a market any time soon for them. Make your friends and family laugh instead.
