WASHINGTON, Jan 3 (Reuters) - The U.S. has struck Venezuela and captured its President Nicolas Maduro, who has been taken out of the country, President Donald Trump said on Saturday.

The U.S. has not made such a direct intervention in Latin America since the invasion of Panama in 1989 to depose military leader Manuel Noriega.

"The United States of America has successfully carried out a large scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the country," Trump said in a Truth Social post.

There was no immediate confirmation from the Venezuelan government.

The U.S. has accused Maduro of running a "narco-state" and rigging an election. The Venezuelan leader, who succeeded Hugo Chavez to take power in 2013, has said Washington wants to take control of its oil reserves, the largest in the world.

I believe they still have their unique character. I can't speak for cigars made before 2021 but you can definitely spot te difference between a Cuban Upmann and a Nicaraguan one.
You really can't. Obama briefly opened up the market. I have a few legal Cubans.

As soon as the embargo was announced, all the prominent manufacturers jumped ship. There's similar breeds, similar talent, similar labor. There's zero reason to worry about genuine Cubans. I have a few in a humidor and they are unimpressive.

Sub 90 iq niggers listen to reggaeton. Sub 90 IQ niggers are not allowed to multiply.

The same should be done to the people who don't return their shopping carts, and anyone who uses Bluetooth speakers.
Sub-90 IQ niggers listen to reggeaton, sure, but who do you think made it in the first place? Reggeaton is a product of uncontrolled nigger behavior.

I must have different taste buds, then. I'm not debating Cuban vs. New World, simply that different soil produces different product. Most of the cigars on my humidor are from the Dominican Republic or Nicaragua. I smoke 10 AJ Fernandez cigars for every Cuban I manage to bring in from my trips, and most of my top picks are non-Cuban.

I think the soil argument is a stretch. The Caribbean countries don't vary as much as the marketing would have you believe, and certainly not in a manner that would not be reproducible given sufficient economic motivation.

New world vs old world totally differs. Various Caribbean countries? Not really.

Except Haiti. They've got a special sauce of shit.

Idk I'm just not persuaded.

Trump should have Maduro paraded down Pennsylvania Avenue in a manner akin to a Roman triumph.

I say this as someone not into tobacco, but I'd imagine the hype for Cubans comes from their legal status that caused their scarcity in the US. It was one of those things where it was more about the fact that you were smoking something you shouldn't have that maybe psychologically made it better. Maybe at one point they were exceptional, but its similar to the way alcohol is. You can claim that certain liquors have to come from specific regions, and from specific ingredients, but other than the nominal effect it has on the marketing. That's literally the only thing that differentiates it from some nobody in another country from doing it the same way. Information on how they make and cultivate things travels far too fast for products to be limited into one reigon because of tradition. Theres a reason why those places bitch and moan to have special status because thats all they have.

Nicaraguan soil is a lot more rich than Dominican soil. More volcanoes and lakes.

We kidnapped a corrupt president and his wife overnight. 0 casualties.

We could.

We could.

We wouldn't invade Israel.

We'll wait them out now that we have leverage over their oil supplier.

If guaranteed representation, they'll come peacefully. They're already obsessed with our politics far more than their own.

There's an Epstein files joke to be made here, but the punchline is just Trump molesting US troops. I'm not sure how to finesse it.
This really is the rebirth of the aborted neocon know it all. The small dick energy here is equaled only to the small dick energy of the steroid popping drug devouring Delta Force.

China’s potential losses basically are worse than Russia’s demographic future. Russia at least is undermining the Chechens by sending them to the meat grinder.

Russians have that retarded desire to kill people via combined arms fire that the Chinese lack. The issue with physically taking Taiwan is that it’s not going to be a quick thing. It’s an entrenched island with very few landing zones.

No country has the military capability of the US, if the US doesn’t handicap itself with retarded rules of engagement.

China: *annexes Taiwan*
i'd love to see them try tbh. russia at least has the excuse of actual military experience of being in a hot war for 3+ years now. they at least have a few guys that know wtf they're doing outside of exercises.
china has had no real war in decades. the most action they've had are their cross-border slapfights with india. their most recent "war" was the slapfight against vietnam 50+ years ago that lasted only a few days. even considering the size of taiwan, it's still armed to the teeth with free US weapons and they've made it very very clear they'd rather kill themselves and burn down everything than live under bugmen rule. they're fucking delusional if they think they can just swoop in and abduct ching-te with zero resistance, it'd be a fucking bloodbath.
Russia: *captures Zelensky and annexes the rest of Ukraine*
they've attempted this multiple times since the start and failed everytime. granted the proxy NATO state definitely put up way more of a fight than the larping chavistos.

One thing I can vouch for is that they've been a bit dodgy with quality control. I've had a couple of plugged Montecristo No. 2s and some bad Upmanns. For comparison, I've never had a bad AJ Fernandez and Arturo Fuente. But other New Worlds have quality control (looking at you, Macanudo).

Still, I do have a soft spot for the Upmanns, even if they may not be what they used to be. That said, I can't blame the rollers for doing a shoddy job. Apparently they're barely paid slave wages nowadays. Hopefully they can get some quality back when it becomes America's vacation spot once again.
I've had one Cuban in my life while I was out of the US. I don't remember what specifically, which should tell you something.

It was good, but I could've gotten something better from Davidoff for half the price.

The fact that it was pulled off so flawlessly is proof positive that Trump has gotten the OpSec under control.

His first admin leaked like a sieve, and the democrat scumbags would definitely have known about it, and sabotaged the operation if Trump had attempted it back then.

Trump has plugged the leaks and rooted out the rats, and the democrats were completely blindsided. They're now shitting their pants in panic as they realize that Trump has cut them completely out of the loop, and they can't work their scummy sabotage tricks anymore.

All the dems can do now is cry about it after.
Trump outright said it in his Q and A after the op. He accused Congress of being full of leakers and thats one of the reasons they werent told shit.

I'm surprised more Democrats arent seething about that (100% true and accurate) accusation. He basically just called them all traitors who would sabotage military operations.

The biggest con against Cubans nowadays is the price. When they opened the Chinese market, they gobbled it up. Hopefully once they return as a rightful American province, the prices can come down.

Well, he's right, and it wouldn't even need to involve sabotage. Even if you only let closed session committees that routinely deal with classified information, like Armed Forces, Intelligence, Homeland Security, etc., it would probably still leak.
