Part of what would need to be fixed are our insane regulations that were created specifically to give corporations an excuse to offshore labor and to stop any domestic competition from being developed. It isn't just the simple manufacturing that is the problem. There is also the problem that even when manufacturing is brought here, all that happens is that foreigners are shipped in to take all the jobs with open federal support, thus ensuring that even "domestic" production fundamentally doesn't benefit Americans. TSMC in Arizona has been doing this blatantly with importing a Taiwanese workforce despite a core requirement of building their factories in American being that they hire Americans, while lying and claiming that Americans are too stupid and lazy to work there. Or the same thing happening at the South Korean battery plant in Georgia, where even after we found hundreds of illegals working there instead of the Americans we were promised, the Trump administration apologized to the foreign criminals and promised that they wouldn't interfere with foreigners violating our laws and refusing to hire Americans. They even helped ship all the illegals back!
