Sally would have to hand him a written eviction notice, he would then have 30 days before having to leave the property.

Legally speaking he could still stay there even after the 30 days is up, Sally would then have to go to the court and file more paperwork, go through a hearing etc. The whole process could take 3-4 months or more.

If the court sides with Sally then Chance has an additional 7-10 days before the police come to physically remove him from the premises.


*Now what's interesting here is that Chance doesnt have a car, so he wouldnt be able to attend the hearing, meaning that the court would just side with Sally, bypassing potential months of litigation.

And it isn't just Sally. The landlady could specifically evict Raxx as well but she wants to keep Sally as a tenant and knows she would go with Raxx if he was evicted. I would bet that aside from Raxx's shenanigans Sally isn't that much of a problem tenant and in a place like Akron good renters that don't destroy your property are gold.

Is Sally legally responsible for Chance in some way though? I mean, is it possible that he’s listed as some kind of indigent who is incapable of living a life on his own? In other words, is he under some kind of a bizarro conservatorship like Brittany Spears? If so, she can’t legally evict him. If she’s not legally responsible for his well being in any way, then she needs to just cunt punt the fuckwit straight out the front door into the kerb.

she has no obligation to him. He is an adult. She just coddles him.

It depends on ohio and akron laws but if Raxx's name isn't on the lease there's no legal obligation to keep him in the house beyond the legal minimum after serving eviction papers. There's no way his name is on the lease.

also no, there's no evidence that Sally has any kind of legal authority over him other than having raised him as his adoptive mother. He's an adult with full legal autonomy.
