Are the grandparents still alive? I liked their segments. Grandma ACK!
And Jaron has another set of grandparents (Gregs) that wanted nothing to do with the show, are they still "allies" or what, they're never mentioned?

The one positive I see is Jazz is wearing his own normal enough looking clothes now. Not stuck in old fashioned maxi dresses that didn't suit him.
He still wears that same blue dress he's used before. I repeat clothes too, I don't have lots of money, but I do buy me some dresses for going out with the fam. And he keeps wearing the same one.

He really is a man. A young woman with some money as they are would debut a new wardrobe for vacations.

I'm glad Jazz lost weight, he's probably in a bit less pain than before.

It's a shame his family is so secular though. The bits in the OT about not cutting yourself like the heathens and forbidding sacrificing children to molech could have saved Jazz from all this if they had been serious about what the torah teaches.

Sandflea posts something similar, which doesn't concern us.

I don't think Sandbag even can entertain why some family members are no longer welcome around the holidays. Has he never met an addict or an alcoholic before?

Or even just the concept that the holidays aren't an especially happy time for a lot of people.

It's dark, the weather is bad, money is tight, work schedules are hectic, travel is hectic, and there's enormous pressure to have a tree, food, presents, and so forth.

I don't even think Surfer understands why Thanksgiving might be stressful, much less Christmas.

I bet Jazz totally understands why Thanksgiving might be stressful.

I mean shit, for Thanksgiving this year, I made a cheesy potato casserole. My cousin said when she thought I couldn't hear that it looked nasty, especially since everything else on the table was "healthy." I am pretty sure that she thought that she could hide it and I'd forget about it, but I made goddamn sure that shit was on the table.

What's the one dish that all those hypocrites ate??? Yeah. They ate the whole fuckin' thing, the piggies.

Oink oink.

This will fill a round 2-quart casserole dish.

A couple of pounds of lightly boiled red potatoes (peeled or not, your choice)
~8 ounces of cheddar cheese, grated or cubed
A WHOLE STICK OF BUTTER
~8 ounces of sour cream
1 teaspoon of salt
1 bunch of scallions, chopped

Loosely chop the potatoes.
Melt the butter and the cheese together.
Put half of the potatoes in the dish and stir in the cheese mix, sour cream, and scallions. Add the rest of the potatoes and stir. (Doing it half and half makes stirring easier.)

Bake at 350-375 for an hour or so. It's nice if it's a little brown on the top.

One of the advantages of this as a holiday dish is that it can be thrown in the oven with other things. It's also easy to prep beforehand. Also, if this is waaaaaaaay too much dairy, it can be dialed back to taste. It's very non-fuck-uppable.

Healthy? Absolutely not. Delicious on Thanksgiving and Christmas? Fuck yeah.

Merry Christmas, goyim! And Happy Holidays to everyone else!

Except Shande! I hope his mom told him he's fat and that he should keep a shirt on while he was reaching for that second helping of cheesy potatoes!

The problem with what Sandro is doing here is that his whole ideology is very liberal at core: freedom of being and doing whatever you think it will make you happy and that alone is enough to consider it good. "Consent based morality": as long as I willingly do it, it's moral and acceptable.

When people like Spandex appeals to our "kindness", they meant that we need to put up a smile and accept anyone's identity or personality because there is truly nothing "wrong" with how people act, ever; either due to some psychological justification or because they were born this way. Say, you need to accept that your nephew shows up for Christmas dinner naked, acting like a chicken, and laying an egg on the table from his butt.

This type of belief NEVER identifies with the people who might be uncomfortable with this. Because, are you truly affected if your nephew does this? Why? Is not actually physically hurting you or anything or anyone, so why can't you just put up a smile for about two minutes until he's over and then carry on with the celebration? That's why he had to hold up any negative thought during his time with those drag queens.

Sandal is specifically talking about LGBT people who aren't accepted by their family, but he's mixing the normal ones who are just shunned for being gay (which is wrong, imo) with those who are the most toxic people you'll ever meet BECAUSE they are gay, and the family just don't want to put up with their bs any more. But, for them, we need to let them act in any way they want to act because that's what he actually believes. Being an obnoxious person is their true self.

Is it one of those dishes that tastes great but has a uniform color & texture?
The "What Have You Cooked Recently?" thread has several "sorry this looks like slop, it's delicious", which I sympathize with because I like simple meat/sauce/etc dishes that tend to lack variation. But it's really easy to add color/texture.

Chopped green onions as a garnish are a classic. You can also sprinkle paprika, grated lemon/lime zest, red pepper flakes, or diced peppers/tomatoes, or thin slices of jalapeno/carrot/radish.

A mini squeeze bottle will let you drizzle sour cream, sriracha, salsa verde, yogurt, honey mustard, chipotle mayo, vinaigrette, etc. You can do artsy little line patterns that add visual appeal and don't really alter the taste much.

(Apologies if you know all this and don't want to mess with a family recipe)

Hardcore white people food. The full spectrum from white to yellow to beige to brown. Looks great with a crust, mid without. Best served with other dishes to round out the plate.

And to respond to @Tasty Tatty , eh, there's a little bit of a problem here where most people are within the 80% and maybe the 10% on either side gets more than a bit strange. If someone claims that they're a tree squirrel, they're welcome at the table and I will serve them some pecan pie. But if they're going to get up in everyone's face about it, they should not expect an invitation next year.

Sander wishes he was gay, because then his family would offer him real support.

I wonder if he knows that the audience hated how he and Ari bullied Jazz for gaining weight and the fact that, for their specific audience, Jazz can't do wrong while he has to be treated like a normal person (something Jazz can't have). All he can do is to claim to be an "ally" so he can receive some of that appreciation they give his little brother.

But seriously, his obsession with everything gay is just his desperate need to be told he's special. He knows he can't fake it, he doesn't like the idea of sex with troons because he knows they aren't women (at least, they're their own category).
