I extend my warmest greetings to the Jewish community in the United States and all around the world as they begin their celebration of Hanukkah—the Festival of Lights and a joyous season of reflection and hope.

More than 2,000 years ago, the Jewish people rose up against the forces of tyranny and restored their freedom to worship and live according to their faith, fighting for the inalienable rights endowed by our Creator. Following their tremendous victory, they sought to rededicate their Holy Temple. As tradition tells us, although they only had enough oil to light the lamp in the Temple for one night, in a glorious sign of the Almighty’s divine providence, it remained aflame for 8 days. In remembrance of this great miracle, over the next 8 days, families and loved ones will gather to light the menorah, which serves as an enduring symbol of light’s victory over darkness and the eternal triumph of good over evil. Hanukkah is a thanksgiving for these miracles.

To this day, the menorah stands as an enduring symbol of liberty, of the idea that each citizen, in the words that George Washington wrote to the Hebrew Congregation in Newport, “shall sit in safety under his own vine and fig tree and there shall be none to make him afraid.”

This holiday season, my Administration continues to stand firmly with the Jewish people and defend the right of every believer to worship freely and without fear of persecution. The flames of Hanukkah stand as a reminder of the strength and resilience of the Jewish people and of the spirit that continues to guide our Nation toward a brighter future.

Just as the grace of the Almighty brought the Maccabees to victory, it has sustained the miracle of America—a shining light to the entire world—for nearly 250 years. As far as I know, he and Stephen King were the 2 biggest whinging fucking crybabies on Twitter for the last decade screaming about Trump non stop.
I feel like we would be remiss if we didn't mention Reiner's death and Trump's reaction to it, because it absolutely was political. The guys POLITICS made him hate half of the country, because their POLITICS caused them to vote for a POLITICIAN he hated.
Maybe someone smarter than me can explain exactly why this doesn't merit a mention on the POLITICS thread? :story:

Eskimos and Inuit aren't even that closely related to most of the lower 48 natives. Their ancestors came to the Aleutian Islands just over a 1000 years ago, while lower 48 came between 30,000 & 12,000 years ago. Both came from Siberia/Eastern Russia but the Inuit came after other ethnic groups had migrated to Siberia. That's why they look much more Asian than other natives. Fun fact, the Navajo, Comanche, and Apache were also part of this migration.

I just don't see the benefit of grave-dancing immediately after the murders when they got so much traction from the Left's grave-dancing immediately after Kirk's murder. What is the purpose? What does he gain? Surrendering that high ground for nothing seems dumb.

I mean... it was kind of shitty of Trump if you ask me, but the man isn't known for taking the high road. Another thing that people don't consider is that Charlie Kirk never would have mocked or celebrated someone's death, he wasn't that kind of fella.
If Trump would have died in office you better believe that Rob Reiner, Stephen King and Robert De Niro would be having a fucking field day online right now.
In other words I don't condone it, but I do understand.
 
But what I'm saying is not about just election, it's about everything. Get stopped by a cop? Universal ID. Got to do something in the bank? Universal ID. Need to prove your age at the liquor store? Universal ID.

None of those things are under the jurisdiction of the federal government. The federal government already has a universal ID, the passport, but no state has to require it for anything because states have independent sovereignty over most of their internal affairs.

No, they actually don't. Nobody has ever managed to construct a federation of states with a strong central government the way America has. The next closest thing in the world is the EU, and the EU doesn't have a universal ID that covers all ID needs in every member state.

To add onto this, do you seriously think they could just kick in doors and execute people on the National Mall the day after something happens? There were 275 agents at J6, cameras everywhere, but they only arrested half of the attendees. And that was with a completely ideologically compliant judiciary/FBI. Things take time, but if you’re brainrotted by Xitter hysteria you won’t be able to accept that.

Oof, I've been assuming that Trump post was an edit, he's usually more generous when someone has died. Reiner must of really gotten under his skin.
