Yeah but they DO police in a more general sense. and while terrible, school shootings are rare compared to other happenings. Unless you want a military detachment paired to every school......not necessarily a bad idea now that I think of it.

How bout the police arrive at the event first and in the meantime troops get deployed/make there way. That way you still get the response time of Police while also then later getting troops who actually get to help America instead of Isreal or be stationed in some middle eastern shithole.

The price you lose In PR and political turnover from these events is more than it would be to send in troops.

There was one at Florida State this past spring where it was a white guy who killed a few people and it was forgotten in like two days. I think people are just mentally exhausted with this shit and don't care anymore.
