Fatrick used to play Battletech which he built models for. The lappening occurred at a Battletech forum meetup.
 
Not that difficult to "build" a Battletech miniatures as they were just metal back than. You rarely had to pin them. Back in the 80's they were made out of a lead alloy instead of tin and zinc. It helps to explain the autism in the community.
