A woman who stabbed her sixth-grade classmate to win favor with a fictional internet character named “Slender Man” more than a decade ago left a group home where she’d been living after cutting off her Department of Corrections monitoring bracelet, Wisconsin police said.

Morgan Geyser, 23, was last seen in a residential neighborhood in the west side of Madison around 8 p.m. Saturday with an adult acquaintance, according to police.

“Her whereabouts are unknown as of Sunday morning,” Madison Police said in a statement.

Geyser and her friend Anissa Weier, both 12 at the time of the crime, lured their 12-year-old classmate into a park in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in 2014, where they stabbed her 19 times to impress Slender Man, a boogeyman for the internet age.

The victim survived, crawling to safety before she was discovered by a passing bicyclist.

At age 15, Geyser pleaded guilty to a charge of attempted first-degree murder in a deal with prosecutors to be placed in a mental institution instead of serving jail time.

In January, a judge ordered she could be released from the Winnebago Mental Health Institute, where she spent nearly seven years, The Associated Press reported.

In August, a facility in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, declined to take her due to negative publicity they were receiving about the potential move, according to CNN affiliate WMTV, but Madison police confirmed with the news station Geyser is currently living at a group home in Madison, on the same street where she was last seen.

Well that's not fucking scary at all.

I don't know what to make of the original case. Morgan was a skitzo that probably should've been in a group home before that and Anissa didn't help with the delusions/stories at all.

Even all these years later, I'm still amazed at how Payton (the victim) actually survived all of that.

I don't believe Morgan doesn't know what she's doing right now. I know it's probably going to be said that she's mentally ill and suffering and "doesn't know what she's doing."

I hope the victim is still okay though. I'd feel very upset if the psycho that did that to me was wandering around though

Genuine question, why do we try to rehabilitate violent schizophrenics? Why is putting them out of their misery not an option? Of course a girl who spent her teenage years in a mental ward is going to be a nutjob.
Not only that but it's like, we know these genes are trash, they grew a schizo body that stabbed someone. Take them out of the equation, splatter them against a wall. But no. Instead this judge let her out to have kids and/or kill again. Not his problem anymore, he retired in April.

Anyone who actually bought that she was delusional and did it "for slenderman" is a fucking moron. She was just a little sociopath who wanted to kill someone, simple as, and now she's a full grown sociopath who's going to cause trouble her entire life.
I think it's both. She was a little psychopath in the making, and the Slenderman bullshit gave her the incentive to act on her desires.

I’m surprised the press isn’t naming the adult acquaintance ol’ crazy ass Morgan was with when she left the home.

Depending on the circumstances, either that person is in grave danger or is a person of interest, and certainly an important witness or source of info - shouldn’t people be on the lookout for them as well?

I've got a cousin in the area and apparently they're telling kids to stay out of the woods.

It's like a fucking horror movie.
It's a modern day LGBTQ+ Halloween reboot, and they apparently DEI'd the one white guy trying to keep Michelle Myers locked up

She has become Slenderman's proxy. She's probably in some forest trying to lure another child to sacrifice to Slenderman.

In the latest picture (presumably of her escape) she has grown her hair out and is wearing a barrette. Maybe she is super suggestible as part of her mental problems.
Maybe. I've thought about this problem in the past. Suggestibility and naivety could have been positively selected for in the past, as it would increase their chance of a conflict free relationship with a man, thus increasing the chance of reproduction. Even naivety to things that are obvious lies that will lead them to be raped was positively selected for as it did increase the chance of reproduction. Whether those children had positive lives and had good chances of continuing those genes is a different question altogether. But if we ignore rape at this moment and think just about normal monogamous relationships with mentally sane men (that care for their wife, not abuse them), it greatly increases their happiness and the success of the relationship and the family as a whole, if we look at a patriarchal provider type of family as a model of success.
What happens in a society where these suggestible naive agreeable women are told that what used to lead to successful happy lives in the past is now bad and that they should lead a life where there are no morals, no consequences, no future, is they will latch on to whatever comes first that takes their attention. So if a bad person manipulates them into believing bad things, like that Slenderman is real, that she should kill her friend for whatever reason, that they should troon out in order to be accepted, they'll do so - they're only desperately searching for that feeling of belonging and acceptance that they're missing. But since society and their parents have failed them, they're being accepted by bad people, and this leads to them doing bad things, and becoming bad people themselves.
IF you want to fix these people, that are just looking for acceptance, you have to fix society and punish and get rid of bad influences that are assaulting them at this day and age since they are children. That requires a top-down cleansing of society of bad people, bad influences and bad morals.

Prime example of why we should not have been so hasty to demonise and restrict availability to the good old barbiturates.
A nice, heavy daily dose of Amytal could have kept everyone involved a lot more comfortable.

Maybe all she wants to do is finish the job with the original victim, and once that box is checked she'll off herself so she and Slenderman can live happily ever after. Hopefully the original victim has adequate security.
This is basically the plot of the Halloween movies, this could be the funniest shit of all time.
