Are you niggers in this thread now sperging about ancient construction methods and wondering how the Romans built shit. Well for one cranes are not some insanely difficult technology that requires insane complex skill to understand. Just go on a roof and pull something up with a bucket and rope the idea is intuitive or go fishing. Neither is scaffolding, it's just a big table but for people and a ladder on the side. Believe it or not figuring out why something works is more difficult than figuring out that it does, especially in construction. I'm not a mason but I can look at brick, see the weep holes and figure "That's probably for drainage" and not need to know the fuckin formulas for water absorbtion of a cinder block.

Chicago was originally built on a fucking swamp and people died from diseases as a result. What did they do? Got a bunch of dudes with hand jacks and jacked them sumbitches up by hand then put in new foundations. This is why foundation issues are a pain in the ass, even though they can be fixed by a single dude with enough determination as shown in this video.

Escape tunnels are nothing new. There is one between The Vactican and the Castel Sant' Angelo which used to be the Pope's personal citadel, but is now a mueseum.

You do understand that the purpose of the high ceilings that accompanied those huge doorways (which typically had smaller doors built within them for normal access) was climate control, right? We don't build like that much anymore because air conditioning exists.

There aren't tunnels to raven rock or camp david lol. That'd be the biggest earth moving operations in history, and it'd still be slower than taking a plane or heli.

There are tunnels however. We know of tunnels to the Eisenhower office complex to the west of the White house and a tunnel to the treasury building to the east of the white house. There is a tunnel from the Oval office to the east wing and various utility tunnels.
