Reduxx was founded in 2022 as a response to the growing threat gender ideology posed towards women and children. Frustrated by a lack of factual news willing to track the
problem and report on the subject using accurate, biology-based language, a small group of passionate female journalists stepped up and created Reduxx to fill the gap.

Since then, we’ve published almost 2,000 articles — hundreds of them exclusives that made waves around the world. One of our most impactful scoops came just before the Paris Olympics, exposing that two male boxers were competing in the women’s division, a revelation that ignited what would become the biggest women’s sports scandal in history.

From the beginning, we haven't been afraid to call a spade a spade… or a man a man.
And we're finally getting sued for it.

On October 15, 2024, Reduxx published an article titled
EXCLUSIVE: Award-Winning Trans-Identified Male Author From Taiwan Sues Critics Who Say He’s Not A “Lesbian."
The article was focused on a Taiwanese-born writer named Li Kotomi. Kotomi, an author, is a trans-identified male currently residing in Japan.

The article reported on Kotomi's campaign of terror against women's rights advocates, and how he had filed multiple lawsuits and criminal charges against women who refused to validate his identity as a “woman” and “lesbian.”

It also noted that Kotomi had taken literary prizes intended for female writers, and called into question concerning statements Kotomi had made comparing pedophilia to a sexuality.

As always, our article did not participate in validating Kotomi’s self-declared claim to womanhood. We referred to Kotomi as a man, and used “he/him” pronouns throughout. We also included some of his other aliases - including his birth name.
All of the details we published utilized data that was publicly accessible.

Kotomi is now suing us because of this article.

His argument? That it was defamatory, invasive, and "factually incorrect" to refer to him as a man because he is “legally and socially a female.”

Note that in Japan, truth is NOT a defense against such claims. "Outing" a trans-identified male is often held as illegal, and "misgendering" them can be considered a legally actionable "insult" regardless of the underlying facts.

In addition to hefty monetary damages, Kotomi is seeking to compel a Japanese court to order us to remove the article we published about him.

In other words, he believes he can litigate us into validating his identity.

Not gonna happen.

If you're wondering how, exactly, Kotomi filed a suit against Reduxx, which is a non-Japanese entity... this is where it gets troubling.

Kotomi managed to file this suit by tracking down a single Reduxx writer who happens to live in Japan. He collected details on individuals he mistakenly thought were connected to her, along with places he believed she might be, which resulted in an unrelated person receiving the legal notice and contacting us in confusion.

We believe the move was calculated to both advance the suit and intimidate us by raising concerns for our writer’s safety. Perhaps Kotomi believed this pressure would cause us to simply back down and comply.

And that brings us here…

We have found a highly experienced lawyer in Tokyo specializing in free speech eager to take on this case - but to move forward, we must cover his retainer and additional fees.
We also need to fund a court translator, and potential travel to and from any hearings we may be obligated to have representatives at.

Over the years, Reduxx has relied 100% on reader donations, allowing us to remain fully independent. We have always made our content free to access for everyone, and we have never accepted money from political interest groups, investors, or institutions. That independence means we do not have a large reserve to draw from for a legal battle of this scale.

We also have an extremely short window of time to pay our lawyer's retainer and file our response in court... just 5 days.

Help us fight this insanity by making a donation through Stripe, Paypal, or Crypto. Every penny helps!

Why would you publish that?

Why would immediately confirm that yes you have indeed been served and are fully aware of what is going on?

This might have completely blown over otherwise.

You know this isn't the only incident where Reduxx is basically retarded, I love the Terf ladies but Reduxx has a history of downright idiocy

Asian trannies always seem to have that thwomp face going on. I can hear the sound effect when I look at that man. Oh, what a shocker - another "mtf lesbian". What an outlier.

Reduxx has a very long history of the following.

Judge/court "I am ordering you not to say or do x under penalty of law."

Reduxx "fuck you incels Imma do what I want!"

(Predictable consequences occur)

Reduxx staffers cry and shit their pants.

You can't claim to be martyrs for the cause if you aren't actually comfortable with the consequences of being a martyr.

Either commit to the bit or don't.

Faggot can pull his balls out of his purse. Growing up in school I knew ten year olds who could handle being called a girl better than he can be called a man.

Can some legalfags explain this to me? Why does it matter if they’re getting sued in Japan? They’re not a Japanese company. They have one, apparently freelance writer who lives there. What would be the consequences of them ignoring this?

Let them fight. Reduxx is subversive controlled opposition sludge that hides every story of carpet-munchers abusing each other and murdering children.
TL;DR? This is the first time I'm hearing of them. I know they have terf and feminist in their description but I liked to know what precisely what kind of leftist insanity they fall under before I come to conclusions.

Genderninjas would show up in the night and use the ancient techniques of Penisu ga Choppu and karate chop their balls off.

It seems like it isn't likely to be actionable at all. Reduxx is probably just using it as a chance to highlight the insane defamation laws in Japan, put the spotlight back on this shovelfaced pedophile again, and get some publicity/money.

Probably 0 since this kind of lolsuit is against a single person and not against the company as a whole. Worst case scenario the freelancer gets fucked since in Nipland basically anything that can make you look bad counts as slander, but then again if you're a journo living there you should be knowledgeable about how the legal system there works
