To be fair, there is truth in what he says. I've seen plenty of streamers who not only beg but also demand and scold their viewers for money, and it works too and for some reason being ungrateful/aggressive doesn't seem to deter people from donating, it almost feels like the opposite.

Phil's whole existence is proof that you can be an e-beggar, and a really successful one if you have no shame.

With how much his audience has spoiled him over the years, I'm surprised he is not even worse.
 
Today we get the “well behaved” Phil. He even apologized for not getting $150 (what a cool guy). If he doesn’t hit the goal tonight, he’ll say he has to beg like a crackhead or that the dents are withholding his money.


He even gave a gentle WageQuit warning.

I am one of those faggots and I am genuinely asking how the fuck did this guy ever have a fanbase? I have seen at this point a good amount of videos going over his history and his career and the kino casino shit (I understand why it is entertaining to watch his downfall currently) but he has always been ugly, had a terrible voice, never said anything funny, always been terrible at games and has always been a weird, tubby little whiny retard. His entire career and the amount of money he has made baffles me.

It's called pignosis. No one with an intact cranium understands it. Those with brain damage are vulnerable to fall into pignosis and start giving DSP most of their disability checks. They are known as dent heads, or dents for short.

He was one of the first doing gaming on youtube when it wasn't a thing.

Add to that him spamming 15min videos back when the algorithm was rewarding that kind of behaviour and you get the reason of his early success.

He also was rushing the store for every new game release, then playing the whole game on the span of two or 3 days straight to then upload the quickest way possible his "gameplay".
(Basically mass producing shitty gameplay)

So if you were searching for a game that just came out on YouTube his channel would pop up.

He got a huge following back in the day and then with time the kid who followed him grew up, the normal people left his channel and he was left with retards
