I'm serious about being in the digg closed beta btw. It looks tame here because I have all of the political subs disabled on my feed. Lol. There's some real winners on here.

I do like how the new sell is Trump was tricked to go along with the 50 year mortgage. That makes him look even worse. Anyone with any mental capacity could see it was a bad idea. If he can be so easily tricked he is nearing Biden levels.
It's not like it would be the first time a boomer was convinced to buy a timeshare before being talked out of it by his kids.

No way, digg is still around?? I completely forgot it existed since like the mid-2000s
They're trying to bring it back and rebrand it as a reddit alternative which I don't see working out.

The soyjacks who love reddit will continue to use reddit and the anti reddit chuds will continue to use X, Discord, and smaller forums like this one.

Seems doomed to failure to me.

Looks like Republicans offered to extend Obamacare subsidies if Democrats agreed to tighter abortion restrictions

Republicans demand tougher abortion restrictions to extend Obamacare funds

Democrats say that’s a nonstarter, arguing there are already limits on abortion access. The dispute could torpedo a deal, leading to higher health insurance premiums for millions.

He's not mentally handicapped he's just filthy rich. Its the same reason he threatened to fire or penalize the air traffic controllers who skipped work even though as he said their paycheck was going to come eventually.

Trump has no concept of the fact that if you aren't getting paid for 40 days and don't have savings, you'll either end up homeless or be forced to take on other work during those 40 days to make do. Most Americans cannot survive that long without pay even in the middle class.

Its why a President JB Pritzker or Gavin Newsom would be much the same, both born into wealth. And why a JD Vance presidency is appealing to so many, born in poverty.

Whoah that is an unexpectedly good move for sure.

That's actually rather clever. They know abortion is a non-starter for Democrats, so tying everything related to healthcare to it pretty much guarantees they'll never get an inch on the ACA.

Lol I'm glad the Democrats didn't agree to this. After Dobbs, I have to think the best political strategy for Republicans is to ignore the issue on the federal level and work in each state. And the healthcare thing has already been framed as healthcare for illegals; Republicans can't make deals on that unless they're seen as bringing in something actually valuable to working Americans.
