I havent seen anyone post just how fucked the new district map is
This is the old one, shown by its breakdown on what the majority of voters from each district voted for in the last presidential election, I truly feel this is a very accurate depiction of the majority feelings in California, or to say, its a valid representation of feelings based on location

With the stroke of a pen 1-2 million conservatives in the north of California will have all their political say stripped from them
But thats just the tip of the fucking iceberg, sorry if I get MATI during this. Its genuinely heart wrenching to see how fucked our democracy is right now. These are millions of good hard working peoples lives they just casually FUCK WITH for political expediancy
I cant even put into words how fucked up this center part is, they have isolated the few large cities into their own districts as they have large dem groups within as all citys seem to do but the land to the north and east of this fucked up center district
thats all land people farm, lots of small family farms as well as lots of big industrial farms but they are all still run by people and those people are just completely screwed politically now. Im honestly like really fucking stunned how this is just, the way it is now.
I know LA and San Fransico also made out like bandits but its the absolute dismantling of the central valley thats just hurting my soul. WE dident divide up GERMANY that cruelly, FUCK!
I knew the new map was bad, even had already looked at it, glanced I should say, now after pouring over it I realize just how nuclear Newsom went. I know for most of you this has implications on the federal level but just spare a moment for the 6 million conservatives in california that lost whatever enfranchisement they had left
And to all of you saying "thats what you get for living there" I cant help you, If you dont understand that you dont pick where your people put down roots, where they build lives, where they are buried. Its nothing but a coward and a turncoat that would abandon his homeland simply because its "difficult" thats practically what TPTB want. The sun washed gates of the west are one of the most blessed lands on earth, just the central valley makes 25% of the nations fruit, vegetables and seeds on 1% of the farm land. LA/longbeach port is the largest port facility in the whole world (yes i know its technically 2 but they are connected its just a buisness difference) and its position against the rockies makes the western approach one of the least appealing routes for an invader amongst a COLLECTION of unappealing approaches.
California is not worth giving up on, not by a damn sight, but she is at a low ebb for certian after this
