I've been doing the 100/year giving plan, but some of the latest mod/top level antics have made me pull back.
Boo hoo dude, oh no, mod expresses an opinion and oh I'm gonna pull back my money. Do it nigger. Don't threaten, fuckin' pull the trigger nigger. No one gives a fuck what you got. Real Democrat behavior.

$2000 stimmies
Is it gonna be a check though or a Tax break? Has that been established yet? Def. would invest it if it is a flat out check, but if it is a tax break I'm all for it; give me back more of the funds I willfully earned please.

I have to admit, I am amazed that they caved after how good election day was for them. I guess my life will have to continue the exact same way it did during the shutdown.
"How good election day was" they won a couple of elections that everybody and their mother knew they were going to win.
Don't act like they flipped Florida just because they won in New Jersey lmao.
No, it is not, please pay attention.
For all intents and purposes it's over. Going against ending the shutdown now would be career suicide for anyone stupid enough to attempt it.
Dems are seething despite sweeping the November election?

LOL...
"Sweeping the November election"
They held a couple of blue strongholds and NYC voted in a fucking nut, they didn't exactly flip the bible belt the other night.

Humanity didn't change much for the past 25,000 years; it just went from grains and fertile land to coal, dinosaur blood-farts and glowing rocks.
True barter economies only exist in times of apocalyptic chaos. There is always a medium of exchange. The koku in medieval Japan, for example, was a unit of value that reflected the annual output of a standard sized plot of rice growing land. The only difference in modernity is that the medium has become more esoteric and financialized.

speaking of, does anyone have decent books about Andrew Jackson that they'd recommend? I've been looking for quality biographies for some of the old presidents but I'm always skeptical about them being filled with revisionist filth
https://archive.org/details/lifeofandrewjack00remi very good, here's the link to the book if you use ereaders.
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=andrew+jackson+robert+v+remini&adgrpid=186020619243 amazon if you don't.

https://www.amazon.com/AMERICAN-LION-Andrew-Jackson-White/dp/0812973461 this is my favorite, but it's only about his time in the white house.

both are worth reading, both could probably be found at the local library, if you have a good one.

Bessent didn't mention a check specifically, and suggested more so it being tax breaks. Here is a snippet from his ABC interview on Sunday when he was asked about it.
Article from The Hill where it says the same just for posterity. L / A

People on both sides are extremely overstating how successful the last elections were.

Dems won like 3-4 elections in extreme deep blue areas that Republicans might win about every 40 years or so.

The DNC could have run literal empty suits and won.
I was surprised when I saw all the rustled jimmies over the November elections. I think people are mostly mad that a muslime commie won NY. Which was already expected to happen anyways.

Not saying GW was great or that the Iraq War was a good idea (it was not), but I think it's important to note that a lot of the hate GW dude gets was manufactured. If SNL could convince Americans that Sarah Palin seriously believed she could see Russia from her backyard, and that it was not a light-hearted mom joke, then think about what the media could do in the early- and mid-2000's when people were a lot less questioning.
here's a invocation of the johnny bravo and sammich agreement(tm). Which is becoming a bit less rare, lol.

GW wasn't as bad as some people would have you believe. he wasn't a good man, no one that rises to POTUS is, but there have been much much worse. I do think taking out bin laden had to happen, but we did a lot of shit in that gwot that didn't have much to do with that goal. I also think maybe some of post mortem on the entire thing needs to be done. Not to trigger @Catch The Rainbow (mostly kidding here) but that tucker carlson 9/11 series was pretty good, i didnt' realise just how incompetency was to blame for it even happening in the first place.

I saw people shocked Democrats won in Virginia. Virginia is basically a company town for subversive glowies and government contractors.

Looking like a full cave, with just promises to vote later to maintain Obummercare subsidies. Talk of some Tim Kaine bill to stop OMB from firing more people but again, just a vote call so far.

They waited 40 days for nothing.
They waited forty days to get Virginia to steer left and they’ll do the same thing in 2026 if the Refaglicucks don’t stop them.
