I think there should be a law where every president can add one(1) room to the whitehouse if they wish. It probably wouldn't have prevented this, but its an idea. Also it'd be an interesting way to show history.

How many times has this clown tried to bribe his own followers to shut up and go home? He saw that microscopic bump in his poll numbers after he mailed out those hush-money Covid checks.
The best part is even if it happens, they're at most getting a partial repayment of their ongoing forced interest-free loans to the federal government. Not like the tariffs will stop once the checks go out.

This Palantir guy looks like a dandelion.

The working class are dying, bro! The Sacklers are golfing in Connecticut and he's worried about boats coming from Caracas.

What does this question have to do with brutalizing spics or sending out random checks? :champ:

The administrative freeze was order by Justice Brown-Jackson. It’s a procedural freeze while they are reviewing the case, but the optics of the Trump administration desperately fighting to not fund SNAP are terrible.
To be fair, the usual balancing test applies here in favor of a stay. Illegally stealing money from other government programs to fund SNAP in violation of the Anti-Deficiency Act can't be undone if it turns out the order is vacated (which is almost certainly going to be the conclusion).

He's literally buying these things from fucking Alibaba for under $5 a piece and spray painting them gold :story:

I bet someone is making a killing buying them for $5, adding gold leaf or spray painting them, and then selling them for $500 a pop. If you're in the gaudy gold ornament business, life is good right now.

Seems like the Senate Dems (8 of them) are folding to Trump. The fact that this went on for 40 days is funny as fuck and it got worse that they kicked this problem to after the holidays which is stupid to me in many aspects.

Trump got booed at the Lions-Commanders game today (archive). The Commanders also lost the game, though that's because of injuries and not Trump.
Love how he can’t be assed to do a single presidential thing anymore, he’ll fall asleep mid meeting, ignore questions, but when it comes to seeping into every corner of American pop culture he never rests! US Open, NFL RedZone, UFC, Trump ballroom, Arc de Trump, Trump stadium…

Once again, it's funny how the Trumptards called out Joe every time he did this, but they lie about Trump when he does the same on camera.

Funny how that works.

Just some fairness and calling out both of them. That's all I want to see.

He’s got the vibe of a kid pretending to be an adult in a trench coat. Come to think of it, that’s kinda the whole Trump administration.

Thank you! I was a Biden supporter, but when it was clear that he was no longer all there I told everyone who would listen that he should step away. Even his inner circle worked hard to convince him. Trump's inner circle keeps propping him up, when he's practically melting in front of us. MAGA Mike said that if the Dems win the midterms, he fears that they'll try to end Trump's presidency. Well they should!

The Senate is voting on their own amendments/bill, so it has to go back to the House. Some fun things are waiting for Johnson, including that Arizona representative he doesn't want to swear in, Massie's Epstein files bill, and the growing MTG rebellion--though that's probably DOA.

I have many questions about the Trumpcare proposal. Instead of subsidies for health care, they're going to give people money in "HSA-style accounts." Do they establish these HSAs for the recipients? Who will be the custodian and administrator? Does everyone get money, or is it based on the current FPL thresholds? Does it count against the IRS contribution limit? Can it be invested, and will it receive the same tax treatment HSAs have now? If used to purchase health insurance on an exchange, will it be enough to offset whatever cost increases are anticipated? Can a recipient pull it out, pay the taxes, and buy a bigger TV? Supposedly 42M people are abusing SNAP, now they're going to give a similar number of people much more money?

All rhetorical, of course, I doubt Trump or Scott thought much about this. Or if they did, they thought about how they could steal from it.

very poor headline. I thought they were implying carter was booed as well. rather it was the first time in 50 years since a president went to a regular season game. he wasn't booed though. he just attended the game.

had the government even opened up before he started just going to random football games?

I admit I used to be a fan of Trump in his first presidency, which clearly isn't the case now. Tbh, nowadays I can't stand both, because those clips of him with children seemed very inappropriate, but now I think the same criticism for obvious mental decline needs to be given to Trump, and his supporters need to admit it.

It's a shame that 8 Senate Dems were so fucking spineless as to throw away any and all leverage they had in exchange for a pinky promise from a party that hasn't been even the slightest bit honest since Eisenhower left office (and that's being generous). A pinky promise to simply HOLD a vote on whether or not 30 million people either lose their healthcare or have their premiums double/triple, not even a definitive vote in favor of continuing subsidies.

The funny part is how all eight of those Dems are on their way out, either retiring, term-limited or not up for re-election. They really said "Fuck the other 42 of you, I got mine." I yearn for a day when the average politician isn't an aged decrepit corpse with no reason to give a shit about party longevity or their voterbase.
Man, if only all those booing people got their asses to the polling station last year to keep this moron out of power.

It's insane how so many people got swept up in all of Trump's blustering and bold-faced lying on the campaign trail TWICE and only realize/remember how fucking terrible he is after suffering under him for less than a year. You would hope that the American voter would be smart enough not to put their hand on a burning stovetop nor even consider it, but the last 10 years of Trump have proven otherwise.
