Chicago- Illinois or California-LA may have been able to pull this off, and under optimal conditions such as if Biden or Kamala was president. Mamdani has zero statecraft experience, nor would I expect him to know how to go about it. Dudes resume is just left wing community organizer positions and outside of NYC, they would treat him like the scamming jeet he is. Unlike Obama, he can't tap into the great grift that is slavery guilt and the black voting block to brow beat people over the head either. As it stands, if theres enough momentum and he fucks up NYC, I think its more likely that they would denaturalize and deport him which be great if that door opened more. Too many foreign nationals are in positions of power for me to sleep comfortably at night.

Meanwhile the New York Stock Exchange is making moves. In particular, a new equities exchanged headquartered in Dallas, TX. They moved the NYSE Chicago over to Texas and leased 28,000 sqft of space to build it. If New York goes down the tubes, many businesses are already setting up parallel operating spaces. The reality of New York falling to crap is not going to happen overnight. But when it does happen, no one can play dumb. The warning signs are all here.

If Mamdani had even a modicum of wisdom he'd know this. And if he does, but institutes his policies anyway, then New York is getting what it deserves.
