The cost of doing so is losing political relevancy. Trump is winning in court. And the more he wins, the more battle hardened the Executive branch becomes. You think short term. I'm thinking in decades. The democrats are turning the President into an untouchable position with all this legal bullshit. Because of them, Executive privilege is virtually absolute. They are making a monster that will be their undoing. And for that, I will accept no other outcome.
Nigga you don’t think at all, like you honestly come across as having like a 85 iq

All this long term thinking sure is panning out! Just look at minnisota and new york. Oh boy infinite somalians and a communist mayor. We're sure winning!

They achieved absolutely nothing
The organizers gain credibility and influence by demonstrating that they can get people to show up. It's hard to get people to turn out IRL. Being able to turn out even just 100 people can make you a player at the local or even state level. A 100 - 200 person $500 a plate fund raising event can even get the state governor to show up and listen to your pet issue. I know of at least one person who leveraged a fund raiser like this into a cabinet level position.

I have to interrupt the slapfight, this is too good and I don't think it was posted here.

I wonder if Jon seriously doesn't know that, for over a decade, if I'm not mistaken, he was part of the problem he is describing.
Oh you know he definitely does, it's a matter of trying to reconcile after being eaten by the Left as well.

You can see this with a lot of the "suddenly, for no reason in particular, reasonable" Liberals who suddenly came around after being cancelled or not marching in lockstep enough.

Either Trump ignores the courts and throws out the rule of law, or he operates through the courts using immigration law to legally deport illegal aliens. You can't have it both ways.
There's the third way where you ignore orders when necessary. Back during Biden's admin all of you retards masturbated over the "John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it" quote, but now that Trump is in charge such view is a sudden blasphemy. I'm not saying you in particular said it, but it was often repeated particularly when Supreme Court released contraversial Texas wall decisions.
I don't know what to tell you, man. Biden was the one who blew out the spending and gave us our current currency problems. It's not an issue that can be fixed overnight.
It's not going to be fixed at all if you don't make a scene of the problem.

Those states are lost. I don't care about New York. I want Ultimate Democrat Destruction. Currently that is on schedule.

Lmao. The insecure one here is the one constantly acting like he's better and special despite being a newfag.

The court of law doesn't mean shit when the court of law is exploited to protect criminals and punish citizens.
Lol. I'll tell you a secret (also for the benefit of a lot of people here). Life isn't fair. It isn't just. Corruption has existed in human society for thousands of years before we were born. If you think that we'll ever have a situation where the just never suffer and no criminals ever escape punishment they deserve through legal trickery, I've got bad news for you.

Interesting perspective. I had not considered that.

Trump is ancient. He's dead anyway. What the hell does he care? And if GOP ignores the problem, they will be dead too. Both literally and politically.
He cares about the country. It is called legacy. It is why he does everything he does. It's why he slaps his name on buildings, why he remodels the white house, why he brings peace- he wants to be remembered and leave the world better than he started. Being politically relevant means shit like 30 year plans become possible.

Yeah I am well aware, they operate in a way where legalism is simply a tool. The only thing to do, is the same in kind and treat it the same and use it as flagrantly and disregard it when ever convenient just like they do. I think you'd get that by now but if you just want to roll over and die and achieve nothing, hey go on ahead.

Well, now I'm really thinking about it, and look: this may require its own thread somewhere else.
But wasn't the republican party a shitshow during the 2nd George W. Bush presidency? And just in general, during the post-Bush presidencies, you had the Tea Party movement, Sarah Palin saying stupid shit, Romney being useless and letting democrats call him a nazi with a smile on his face, etc. - the era of being a "gracious loser" and all that. Before Trump finally decided to get into politics.

I'm thinking Stewart (and his team of writers) got way too used to the republicans being a punching bag. It was too easy for too long. He fucked off from Comedy Central by August 2015 and by then, the damage was done. I knew numerous young adults who mainly got their political takes from the Daily Show and The Colbert Report (which had also ended by 2014). The latter had shown some ugly cracks towards the end, with Colbert giggling along with Anita Sarkeesian...

Anyways, now, it's not that easy anymore in the sense that the dems have become a cult. And I've seen redditors get mad when he dared to criticize them since returning to the Daily Show, even though it's small potatoes compared to how he went after the republicans. They accuse him of both-sides-ism or whatever term they used to shit on him, in threads I saw.

"We played the long game and lost many high population states. Conclusion: we should keep playing the long game and lose more states"

Millions of illegals get to vote and you're upset about me saying it's a problem?
Well, you never seemed to "crash out" over it before... You know, when nobody acknowledged the problem, let alone had a desire to fix it.

But now the guy who tries to do something about it causes what looks like a TES-thread style apoplectic fit. So, yeah, I'd say I'm a little concerned for you, today, since that's all old news to most of us.

Your sudden-onset TDS symptoms are new, and obviously nearer and dearer to our hearts. You don't sound like the same reasonable, intelligent person who keeps us updated on legal shenanigans, today.

I'm worried about you.
