Quite grim that Nick Fuentes is now being treated as an actual "person" to be listened to, not only that but the right still acting incredibly buckbroken and working against their interests still after all this time. Maybe it truly is over. Also i still cant get over the fact that there's unironically doctorates on negrology, what the fuck is going on.
Never forget when Sargon or Count Dankula tried to enter politics. Or when Taylor Swift endorsed her fav candidates. Cenk Uygur is another who ran for office and flopped hard. And those are off the top of my head.
Fuentes and Carlson are much the same and in terms of cultural impact smaller. I'd be hung in the streets for saying this but in all honesty Cenk Uygur has made more waves in building up online profiles, a business that employs many, and changing hearts and minds. I was browsing the default channels on my TV and The Young Turks is right there as an option [unlike Carlson or Fuentes. Still, Cenk could not win public office. But he did get his justice democrats in.
What I'm saying is -
Twitter is not real life. Tucker and Fuentes are twitter famous, not IRL famous. To be blunt, having white nationalists in Germany eat up your content is not going to have any tangible effect on American politics. Fuentes' contemporary James Allsup had more real world power [Precinct Committee Officer for the WSU College Republicans] - he was actually rubbing shoulders with congressmen.
Fuentes could have 20 million followers on Twitter and everyone named above will have had more of a tangible impact on politics off the internet. Tucker Carlson as well. His closest connection to the GOP establishment is that his son works for Vance. And not for long if Vance actually is pressed on it during a 2028 primary. I can easily see Ron Desantis bringing that up.
Also both Fuentes and Carlson want to lower the age of consent. Carlson got a pass because it was a decade ago, but that pass has expired since he tried to make the Charlie Kirk funeral about himself. He's iced out just like Candace Owens. And just like Candace, claims he has Trump on speed dial and is totally not iced out - its very transparent. If you matter, you don't need to verbalize it. Charlie Kirk never said "LOOK AT ME I MATTER" - because he had nothing to prove. They do.
Anyways Fuentes is a distraction. Just like he campaigned against the Republicans in every election cycle, he'll do the same in 2028 to no effect.
If twitter followers count for anything, feel free to call it a grim situation. In reality, you should probably clean out your feed [mute/block] so you can stay clued in to things that matter. Like upcoming governor's races. Not just in blue states like New Jersey. Red State South Dakota still has to replace Kirsti Noem. It looks like it'll either be her lieutenant governor or the Non-Maga Dusty Johnson from congress.
Holding the line and making sure MAGA friendly candidates get the spotlight is more important than whining over some homo who still lives with his mom. Some homo who was so scared of a 50yo woman at his house, he pepper sprayed her and pushed her down the stairs. Apparently he took a quiet plea bargain and settled the civil suit. Its hilarious that the donations to Fuentes are going to paying off his lib neighbors in Chicago.
Remember the internet isn't real. That mugshot was though. The only thing grim here is Fuentes' prospects. All it would take is Elon going on another Ketamine bender like he did in Dec 2024 and mid 2025, and poof. Fuentes banned. Already Elon restricts him by denying him Twitter Subscription privileges so he's not even making money off his hourly twitter posting.
I cannot stress this enough.
Twitter is not real life. And empirically speaking, Fuentes is irrelevant to American Politics. He is only relevant to a corner of dissident right wing twitter politics. As much as I am loathe to admit it, Cenk Uygur and other figures have more real world influence as proven by their accomplishments.
Fuentes only seems like a force if you tuned into politics in the past two years. As much as everyone is trying to force Ben Shapiro to become irrelevant, he remains leaps and bounds more influential than any Twitter influencer. The more I think about it, the more I have to wonder what motivates the guy. Fuentes is running up on 30 with no wife and no kids. He's Richard Spencer all over again. Can't maintain a relationship. Can't go outside. Can't build anything substantial.
30 with nothing to show for it except internet numbers. Then 35. Then 40. Then 45.
Just thinking about it all is so depressing. I thank God my parents made me finish my education.
